Ollie shares his views - "Blackpool an absolute disgrace"

He's right about the general trend of clubs firing managers too soon but wrong in this case. As we all know the football has been garbage all season with only a few exceptions.

What a tit. It's alright for him to say that, he isn't the one paying week in week out and following his team up and down the country watching the same old dross.

This from the man that routinely backed the Oystons against VB and the fans. Anything for press I suppose but his judgment (if he truly believes what he is saying) is highly suspect. I think he is disingenuous.

He wouldn't think twice about not playing one of his players who was underperforming, it's part of a managers job. Sadler did his part of the job.

Holloway didn't think twice about leaving us, so he can stick his morals up himself.

Thanks for the memories...now pee off!

He’s just a media Whore. Forever grateful to him and the team, but he should just shut up and keep his nose out.

He's wrong about the sacking of Grayson but makes some intereting points about managing players in that article, and there's some truth in the notion that clubs often don't give managers enough time. For me, the hatred of Ollie is OTT. Especially given what he did for us. He talks some nonsense but so what? He delivers entertainment. Have you seen that Grimsby player's hay trick the other day? The third goal was something else. A player who had barely scored before .

I think the double standards are what winds a lot of people up, he didn't show any loyalty towards us when Palace came knocking.

I think 'OTT' is for him to refer to OUR Club as "AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE" when he clearly has a very limited understanding of the circumstances. It's not the first pointed comment from him, which is way off the mark and so perhaps the hatred is justified.

Maybe his "simple game of passing and moving" advice would have been better placed in a phonecall to Simon Grayson, who took 'Simple' to a whole new level of complexity.

Voy, the hatred for Holloway is born from the fact that even now he refuses to criticise any of the Oystons for what they did to the football club and how he left us in the mire on the morning of the Derby match.
What he did for Blackpool on the pitch will never be forgotten but he should have thought out his departure from the club a lot better and just clamed up with regards the Stains as what he said didn't endear himself to the majority of fans in the post Holloway era.

In this instance it appeared SG wasn't inspiring his players, given plenty of opportunity to do so. Change had to come - kinder to all really.

Fair enough, but none of that bothered me tbh, despite my long-standing utter disgust for the Oystons. He put a hell of a three year shift in for us, I prefer to be grateful for that.

Agree with voyeur. Think he was at the end of his tether when he left. Not particularly bothered about his view on the Oyston's. It should be water under the bridge now. Let's remember the players he brought in and the fantastic attacking football plus the not inconsiderable achievement of getting us in the premier league. How hard is that to achieve? Ask the guys down the M55. We may never see a trip like that again. Hopefully we will.
Let's get in a decent progressive thinking manager and give him some time to try and match those achievements.

I wonder what his answer would have been had SS given him the option of coming back, instead of appointing SG.

Great memories of his time with us, but he showed no loyalty and as others have said, he’s been a bit of an Oyston apologist.

Bottom line he’s managing Grimsby!

Double standards & lack of loyalty in all corners of football from Owners, Managers, players & fans .so in my view very little to see here from Ollie & fans other than plenty of the usual . 🙄

Outed him for being an opinionated self-righteous arrogant megalomaniac during his time at Blackpool and yet it fell on deaf ears. Wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

He just likes the attention, even if it’s negative. He should be careful as he’ll lose the fans soon.

For me managers should be made to see out their contracts both from the club and their own perspective, which would also help overspending ie trying to support a new manager etc. In Holloways case however the O's were clearly undermining his efforts so he had every right to jump, where unfortunately you can end up dead in the water as a manager.

I'm not sure where Grayson goes from here and at a relatively young age seems a spent force.

The guy is a prick.

I could understand him leaving us if he had said he could no longer work under these conditions or something else like that but he didn’t, he couldn’t say anything bad about the Oystons but still abandoned us on the morning of a match to join a competitor
He said he would never do that again after treating Plymouth in a similar way!
The guy is a muppet and why anyone gives him airspace I don’t know,
The best thing about him being at Grimsby is that I no longer have to hear his diatribe on Talksport or Quest

What Holloway doesn't get that up until the Posh game we were playing unattractive football and not very pleasing on the eye but we were still in the mix. Yes we did go on a 5/6 game unbeaten run and like most l thought we were playing some decent football and became difficult to beat. All of a sudden the wheels started to fall off because SG started tinkering with the team dropped McDonald who l thought was the catalyst for this unbeaten run, and before we knew it the standard and quality of football was diabolic and we we became a beaten team. He lost the dressing room and the belief of the majority of the fans despite some decent signings in the transfer window, unfortunately Tuesday nights game became the point of no return for SG and the toxicity in the ground left SS with a decision he had no choice to make. His beloved BFC and crown jewel of the community was unravelling in front of his very eyes and he would have been hurting inside, but such is the business and nature that football is.

So for me, and I’ve never said a bad word about Hollie who gave me the greatest day as a BFC fan since witnessing the Pickering hat trick, he can feck off and keep his views to himself and remember that he walked away from us on a match day morning without batting an eyelid, talk about double standards!

Fair enough if he wants to play the managers allegiance card and offer support / sympathy for Grayson. He could quite acceptably say he was 'surprised' or thought that SG would have got more time, but to call the club a 'DISGRACE' ??

What a to55er.

He’s an attention seeking rent a gob

Lucky man to inherit Parkes team and give it a style of playing that helped the mighty Pool.
However his post Pool exploits haven’t pulled up any trees ,a total plonker in my opinion.
Haven’t listened to him for years.
