Hook line and stinkerEveryone's opinion is valid whether it agrees with that of your own and others.
This seems to have come into acceptance recently across all aspects of media and it's utter bollox.Everyone's opinion is valid whether it agrees with that of your own and others.
You reading my mindThis seems to have come into acceptance recently across all aspects of media and it's utter bollox.
A wrong opinion or fact is wrong. Even if someone really believes it.
Why can't people accept that sometimes their opinion is invalid?
Always remember what Evelyn Beatrice Hall said. ‘ I may disagree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it’This seems to have come into acceptance recently across all aspects of media and it's utter bollox.

I think Voltaire said it long before she did.Always remember what Evelyn Beatrice Hall said. ‘ I may disagree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it’
And has been oft repeated. But some on here need to be reminded.I think Voltaire said it long before she did.

Tres bien mon ami.I think Voltaire said it long before she did.
That's bollox as well. Something wrong can't be defended and certainly not to the death. Voltaire was referring to the freedom to speak, not talk shiteAlways remember what Evelyn Beatrice Hall said. ‘ I may disagree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it’
Actually Wiz validity is not the same as truth, the only kinds of opinion that would actually be considered invalid as such would be stuff like 'i think a circle can be a square'. The interesting philosophical upside of this is that most opinions can be completely valid, and at the same time still a steaming pile of inaccurate horseshit, as demonstrated regularly by our good friend 62!This seems to have come into acceptance recently across all aspects of media and it's utter bollox.

That’s what I like about this board, the philosophical way some posters tolerate others with opinions which differ from their own and are prepared to enter into reasoned debate. That's bollox as well. I have no issue at all with a reasoned debate, backed by evidence and rationale. That’s what I like about this board, the philosophical way some posters tolerate others with opinions which differ from their own and are prepared to enter into reasoned debate.
I agree statements like that are ridiculous. They are not based on any kind of fact, nor is it a reasoned opinion.it just isn’t worth a reply,I think those kind of comments are just a fishing expedition and if replied to give the poster some kind of peculiar thrill.I have no issue at all with a reasoned debate, backed by evidence and rationale.
' Critchley can only work with kids and can't cope with men's football' is neither of those things. As an example.
No, they're not and need calling out when needed.Love the debate on here, but it is the Microcosm of social media, where we have sensible debate and differing opinions, and a smattering of looms with polarised statements which are laughable.
I suppose all opinions are valid but some of those holding them just need basically educating for their own good....?
Actually are all opinions valid?
