OT TV Shows / films

Chapelwaite.......Adrian Broady....In a Stephen king short story is very, very good....Think Salem's Lot in the 1800's
Only Murders In The Building.....with Steve Martin has been good....quite camp, but fun
American Rust.....Outstanding....if you liked Mare Of Eastown.....Jeff Daniels is excellent and I'm desperate to watch the 3rd episode. 9/10
Foundation.....starts tomorrow.......Apple are calling it Game Of Thrones in space....should/could be good.

Dear Even Hansen.....Maybe it was me, but I loved this movie....Teen suicide/depression............. with songs 🤔
The Power Of The Dog......wow, hard going but has Oscars written all over it....

Ive enjoyed the marvellous mrs Masel on amazon very funny and well written stranger things is very good just watching series 3 of sex education also funny shadow and bone was good and Vikings is fantastic.

Pleased to see that Amazon have just released the 4th and final season of Goliath.
It's an excellent series, especially if you like legal dramas and/or Billy Bob Thornton
As the title suggests, he takes on giant opposition, which as a down and out lawyer puts the odds against him. Then there's the threats and dirty tricks against him. He's the good guy for a change. Highly recommended if you're looking for something.

I'm trawling my way through Jason Statham films.
I've done that over the last year of lockdown. You get to a point when you realise that they are ALL the same! Fun to watch but ALL the same.

Down and out Statham drinking heavily or living a reclusive existence after some life even previously, bad guys find him or he's roped back into helping some old military agency and bish bash bosh he's back in the game kicking arse.

Ann Dowd is magnificent, as is Elisabeth Moss.
Praise be.

Ann is a star in my eye(s) and stood out in early episodes.

Just watched the final 2 episodes tonight and looking forward to Season 5. The whole series just draws you in and keeps you there. Brilliantly filmed but don't think I could have watched it on my own as I prefer faster moving stuff usually. My missus and I however were able to watch and discuss it and has to be one of best series I've ever seen.

Not had a thread about TV series / films for a while. Well since lockdown when we were all desperate for things to watch really.

Just started 9 Perfect Strangers on Amazon a few hours ago. Watched the first 3 episodes. Nicole Kidman lead role. Absolutely brilliant IMO. Bit off the wall but made me laugh and also tackles some very serious issues. Recommend it.

Any new recommendations for shows / films appreciated.
Dark side of the Ring
Season 3 just out its brilliant

He was brilliant taking the piss out of himself in Spy

Anyone seen the Sky One advert for a new drama called COBRA? The trailer is all filmed on Fleetwood promenade! Allez will be having puppies.

Robert Carlyle is the lead as Prime Minister.

Agree with vast majority listed

Did no one mention Billions? Amazing acting and twisty turny as hell. You need to concentrate as it’s not for the hard of thinking.

Silicon Valley was v amusing and not too far off the truth either

Finally for those that lives the 80s and loved films, music and arcade games The Goldbergs

My friends all concur, it is meant to be excellent.
I pre concluded that it’s too dark for me, which is a shame because the reviews are fantastic.
Have you watched Back to life on IPlayer?
Very dark but so bloody funny, give it a go

Just watched The Nightstalker, the second series of Manhunt. Martin Clunes is excellent in it. Could have been caught 10 years earllier, if it wasn't for the incompetence of tte police.
Available currently on ITV hub, as is the first series on the separate Bellfield case.

To my mind The Bridge is the best series ever.
Currently watching The Killing series 3, American Horror Story, and working through as much of the original Dr Who episodes as I can find.

I'm liking Guilt on the BBC at the moment, as mentioned above quite dark, lots of twists and turns. Can recommend.

Squid games...I thought the acting was awful, and the storyline at times was rubbish. Interesting premise though and good ending, I wouldn't put anyone off watching it but I wasn't a massive fan. I could only get the dubbed version, which I think from what others have said doesn't help with the overall experience

enjoyed the first series of Guilt.
The first episode of seies 2 got off to a very slow start for me.

I see the third series of You is out on Netflix now. Can't recommend the first series of it highly enough. Brilliant. Second series was ok too.

Just finished Vigil. OK but at times it may have been easier to explain what came first, the chicken or the egg. Lots of inaccuracies but a reasonable 6 episodes of 'whodunnit'.
