Our most successful 'older players'

I'll kick off with Kevin Phillips who is an obvious choice but who else proved their worth at an older age in a Blackpool shirt?

Ricardo Fuller was top class, although as mentioned above Simpson and Phillips were the best during my time.

I always liked Colin Methven, apart from the game of his life after he moved to Walsall and he marked Tricky Trev out of the game on that final day of the season and stopped King Billy from getting us up

Good suggestions above. Considering how bad his knees were it’s got to be Ian Marshall for me. Immense at the back, equally immense when pushed up front.

Barry Siddall deserves a mention. Kevin Phillips and Paul Simpson the stand out players for me.

Burridge was also only 24 when he left Blackpool, so hardly an oldie
But was 46 when he played in the sticks against us when he brought his Blyth Spartans along for a 4-3 FA cup thriller.
And gave the crowd the “We‘re not worthy” wave after the final whistle.

Strange how some things that are etched in your memory forever 👍🏻
