Oxford's Side in the Semi's

Just reading a few bits off the Oxford Forum. Marcus Maguane (midfielder) Sam Long (Defender), James Henry (Striker) and Brandon Barker (Midfielder) could all be missing for the first semi - quite interesting how well Dan Agyei has done for them as well.

More propaganda I suspect, I would be delighted if Henry and Barker missed 1 or both legs.

They’ll be looking at our list of ‘could be absent’s and creaming themselves.

I've always rated James Henry, he seems to have been around forever and he's still only 31. He would be a big loss for Oxford, similar role to Grant Ward, he's a regular scorer from midfield.

He'd be a big miss for them ....

SAM Long hopes to take part in Oxford United’s play-off campaign as he awaits more news on his hamstring injury.
The right back will have a scan tomorrow after he was forced off midway through the U’s 4-0 win over Burton Albion on Sunday, which saw them finish sixth in Sky Bet League One.
It is only a week until the play-off semi-final first leg against Blackpool - with the return fixture three days later - but the 26-year-old is not ruling himself out completely.
Long told the U's official website: “We’ve given it a couple of days to settle down and I have been in to work with the physios both days.
"It is so frustrating because there are still some very big games to play and I want to be part of that.
"At the moment it doesn’t feel as bad as when it first happened and I am always positive about things like this: whatever it takes, I will do my best to play a part in the play-offs.”

I don't think you can read too much into this, it'll be all kidology from mouthy Scouse git. He's got a touchline ban so he'll be using all his powers to undermine the opposition.

With an empty ground, does being in the stand make that much difference to being on the touchline? Surely they'll still be able to hear him, and he might even have a better overall view.

He’s been given a touchline ban before and Oxford have won.

Personally l don’t give a shite who plays for Oxford why? We have without doubt the best coach in the league given his track record and coaching qualifications so NC will know exactly how to set the team up for both legs. We’ve had a horrific injury list since January and missing some very key regular first teamers and it hasn’t affected us too much finishing 3rd has it? Some of these key players have now returned with game time now under their belts so player selection is a great problem for NC to have.
