Not a surprise as Man U are on at the same time. Purely a commercial decision based on the large Manc support there!

Interestingly, they have Brighton playing themselves. 🙃
 
Fleetwood FC are rivals to Blackpool FC in a way that PNE are not - and can never be. Anyone who glosses over this, intentionally or otherwise, does a potentially serious disservice to our/my football club. History shows that - as with the 'Highlander' maxim - there can be only one. And so it proved with the South Shore FC merger back in 1899.

IMO, the only way that "Fylde Coast Football" could amicably work is if The Cods were to switch to the Rugby League code and AFC Fylde exclusively became a women's soccer club.
 
They might not be rivals in a football sense but since I was a kid and that was a long time ago, there has always been a rivalry between Blackpool and Fleetwood and that is just as strong now.
oh and I know plenty of decent lads from both👍🏻
 
I grew up desperately wanting us to beat Preston, and I genuinely mean no disrespect to Fleetwood, I think they're a decent league 1 club with a good owner, but I just don't have any strong feelings about them. I want us to beat them of course, but on the morning of a BFC vs. PNE game I have nerves in the pit of my stomach, just like I do today!

As for this pizza place (at Poolfoot?) I've never heard of it, but I agree its a bit odd to not be showing Blackpool games, Tuesday Man Utd are playing, but nothing about Friday? Hope its not as petty as it looks.

That's exactly right. Petty and mean spirited. There would be plenty on here last season who would have been urging us to watch to the Cods in the playoffs. It's those I feel sorry for. You do all you can to encourage Fylde Coast Football and they essentially try to manufacture a feud.

On another note I went to Calcio last week for my lads birthday fully recommend lovely Pizzas/pastas at a very decent price, beats any kebab shite.

if we had a big outdoor space with a big screen, I imagine we would. Its good business. Maybe there is some other reason, worried about trouble with the locals or something.

We might do one day, must bring in a lot of revenue for the club place was packed last week had to book a table 2 weeks in advance and only the patio/terracing was open don’t forget.

It does look good, I've recently got involved with coaching my lads football team, and I'm told for kids football, everyone ends up at poolfoot sooner or later so might have a look!

FFS the pub isn't even in Fleetwood there are plenty of pool fans who live in that area.
What makes it worse than showing United over us tonight, on Friday when there is sod all on apart from the Pool v Oxford game their not showing it.
Not only is that petty it's bad management from whoever made that decision.

You haven't mentioned the move from the Layton community but it still hurts some of us to recall it.

It’s not about defending the Cod’s it’s about an idiot of a poster having yet another pop at Fleetwood for not showing the Blackpool game, why should they?
There were pubs in Blackpool showing Man Utd v Fulham one being the Golden Eagle why didn’t the dick head mention that?
