The thing is, up until now Piers has faced no consequences for it. Both he and Roy Keane were/are probably getting egged on by producers who know it gets viewers and goes viral anytime they go on a rant. Let’s face it, it’s good TV.

Piers can try to make himself out to be a martyr but the fact is he was very successful doing this because it’s theatre, and he had a PR team behind him. Britain is a more conservative country than conservatives would like to admit, for some reason, because they can play the victim card as well as any. We’ll have had a Tory Government for 14 years come the next election and it doesn’t look like the result will be any different as things stand now. But Andrew Neil, one of the most successful and powerful journalists in the U.K. has the balls to set up a new right-wing channel and pretend it’s for ‘underrepresented voices’, same with Tim Montgomerie who spent years as a leading writer for the Telegeaph cozying up to Government and set up his ‘unherd’ website because he thinks new unheard voices are needed (as long as they are all white middle aged men being conservatives). They are all either incredible oblivious to how good they’ve got it, or they realise they can make £££ pretending they are under attack.
 
A question and I'm hoping all the know alls can give me an answer, when she went onto the oprah Winfrey show, did she get paid for it or was she doing it out of the goodness of her heart for mental health awareness.

She said she wasn’t being paid at the start of the interview.
Wether you believe it or not is another matter.

It works because he tows the line.I was amazed that it took her so long to play the racist card. What sort of a man is he that condons the Royal Family being dissed on American TV by a second rate nobody. She married a royal and couldn't hack the responsibilties that go with it.. No doubt she will turn to her Father and sister for support. Oh hang a minute,she's at loggerheads with those two also.
 
If you want to send Piers a message of support send the message to a friend as text and then get them to read it out to the voice mail on your phone account. I am sure that he will hear it.

Got me how Harry was moaning about finances when his Mum left him 10 million. One thing breakfast TV will be boring now without Piers.

Rulert Murdoch is launching a much more right wing opinionated news channel. Sky News Australia is much more opinionated than the UK and its actually quite good - although they do recycle the same guests frequently.

Andrew Neill actually said last night that he would be interested in employing Morgan on News UK - he did add that Morgan would have to change his style somewhat. This was said on the PM program on R4, yesterday.

I've no time for any of them tbh and I disagree with your analysis. The royal family 'disses on' itself. He hated being in the royal family and she hated it when she joined it. And I dare say other royals hate it too. We should set them free. And thereby relieve ourselves of all this utter shite.

I wasn't going to watch but with the reactions after the event, I watched it the following day on catchup and to be honest, I didn't find anything in that interview that was at all convincing. Bloody 'ell even Winfrey herself was at the wedding, did she not notice how popular it was, or has she chosen to conveniently forget?

Free speech is finished thanks to the UKs acceptance of all the minorities. Hopefully me and my wife will have enough funds to leave this once proud country next year to join our children in OZ and leave the UK to the worlds scroungers.
