Pink Ball test thread

We lost this with a useless batting performance at the start. Most of our players just tried and failed to play for for survival. Even 60 more runs would have made this a contest.
 
I'm sure the Test will be inspected, 2 day matches don't do anything for the integrity of the sport, something I'd have said if it had been England winning. The good news is the 4th Test is at the same stadium. It'll be interesting as I can see both sides just teeing off.

Merely offering some possibilities , I’m completely aware the pitch is an utter bag of wank and the Indians are better at spin bowling in home conditions than we are. So tuck your rant away for another day, completely unnecessary.
 
I wonder if the powers that be think they made the right decision to play three frontline pace bowlers after the second test debacle. Did anyone really think the pitch wouldn’t be a raging Bunsen burner.
 
The first test pitch was perfect , good for batting for a couple of days then taking increasing spin. They got stuffed so resorted to poor
pitches as they backed their spinners against ours. You would like to think that morally they won't produce a similar wicket for the next test but
that would be naive.

Here the supposedly best test side in the world are playing on/in a sandpit. It's piss poor.
Yes we're losing the game due mostly to the inept batting performance in the first innings, but surely questions should be asked when 17 wickets fall in 2 sessions!!

For "merley offering possibilities" read "another load of uninformed comment" so, tuck your comment away for another day old lad.
 
That was not a Test Match pitch, end of. There are supposed to be certain standards and that has failed massively. No Test match should last less than 2 days, it is farcical. You can't judge players or teams abilities on such a sub standard pitch. The result should struck from the records and the Indian Cricket board should be fined and given an official warning. I would have the same thoughts if England had won in the same way.

Talk about creating a pitch that benefits the home side, that was actually taking the piss.

Joe root figures of 5 for 8. I like Joe as a bowler he’s often under used But he’s not a 5 for bowler. I wonder if the Indians are bothered they have cost themselves lots of money with finishing the test so soon or do they only care about winning.
