Unfortunately because of the behaviour of a few idiots action will be taken. Policing/stewarding is never going to stop a determined invasion. So all you can do is start making an example. It's already an offence to go on the pitch so next time it happens a random 10 say pitch invaders (substitute a number of your choice) are banned/prosecuted or what ever punishment is seen fit. Next time there's an invasion twice as many fans and so on (except of course if you are attacking Billy Sharpe).

No, you are right. But, whenever has the law reigned in juveniles? It needs well policed intervention. That could start with parents....hmm, maybe.
 
A few police dogs would be a good deterrent, or good entertainment for everyone else, if anyone tries their luck.
 
not clever enough to post it on here but The Milan Ultras seemed quite adept at dealing with pitch invaders at the weekend according to Twitter! Well worth a look.
 
Three off duty Dorset police officers reprimanded for joining pitch invasion at Bournemouth when they secured promotion. One was a superintendent.🧐
