Planning Application for a Pub on Travelodge Carpark

That Alban Cassidy has loads of letters after his name, I’ve only got my Cycle Proficiency and 9 Widths at swimming 🥴🥴
I think one of the abbreviations stands for “happy to work with rapists”?

Hold your head in shame Shylock

There are also a couple of big advantages to the Council in seeing applications withdrawn. The first is that refusal rates are monitored nationwide. In principle, councils with clear policies, good pre-application advice services and helpful, pro-active case officers should not issue many refusals. More refused applications suggests that councils are not communicating well with their residents. In fact, 90% of applications nationwide are approved every year.

The second big advantage to the council (and huge disadvantage to the applicant) is that, if the application is voluntarily withdrawn by the applicant, there is no right of appeal. If a planning officer sees minor problems with a scheme (perhaps problems that might be corrected if the 8 week deadline was not looming), there is a risk that a refusal may lead to an appeal, and an embarrassing defeat for the council, including the risk of being required to cover the applicabt’s appeal costs.

You don't get the fee back and already invested in the plans being prepared (if OO has paid his team!). Just let it run its course and see what happens

Didn't see the withdrawl. Mr Cassidy is a PNE fan.

I've no idea if all this is true or not & where that lot are concerned, I can't be bothered worrying about it. Assuming it be correct, it has all the hallmarks of someone who has been beaten floundering & on the verge of insanity.

I can't see why an application would be put in at the current time anyway. The Travelodge already has a catering facility and it is not as if it would sweep up any football trade, as it would be blacklisted by fans. Commercially just don't see it working and perhaps they have realised that

Does old rapey still own the Travelodge then? Either way I bet the agent gets knocked for his Bill.

Stop! I'm not having the name of any dog, and particularly Whippets associated with OO.

Why has it been withdrawn ?

Can somebody get the information off this company ?

I guess that might mean it’s over for now - but there is nothing to stop a re-application is there ?

Shylock “enjoys his time away from the office ….. whilst also enjoying birding……“ seems to be cut from the same block as the Rapist.
