So who will be here next season?

Alnwick? Howard?

Howe Turton? Husband MacDonald Edwards Thorniley

Ward Spearing? Kaikai Feeney? Virtue Garrity

Fonz Hardie Nuttall Madine

What about Devitt, Tollitt, Yussuf?!

Pretty weak in all departments despite quite good numbers. Very few who would jump onto the team sheet. Massive job ahead for somebody! A lot of players to get off the books, a lot of better quality players to bring in. Been far too eager to get bodies in, on two year contracts. Not properly scouted. Second Sadler season won't be simple, Simon .
 
No idea, we have to see a lot of them properly first then add another striker in summer plus replacing whoever leaves. Keep on strengthening but mainly get the most out of what we have.
 
Just interesting that there's not much quality contracted beyond the end of this season. Perhaps the League One formula is to have 15 decent professionals and 5 loan players from big clubs? Oxford United style.
 
Tollitt has already been released.

Devitt will be sold very cheaply as he has another year on his contract. same for Yussuff.
Can see Spearing, Feeney, Scannell all going.
Mafoumbi and Howard will be gone. As will Gnanduillet.
A lot depends on the managerial situation.

Ward still has everything to prove, and if a new face comes in I can see Fonz going.

you’re right that no proper scouting has been done. But that’s where we find our selves as a club. The management team came in very late to the summer window it’s had a knock on effect from there. Just hearing about some of the signings hasn’t filled me with confidence, Howe because he played well against us? Well who hasn’t and Garrity because he was recommended. Doesn’t sound like anyone from the club has ever seen him play. Worrying.

I believe SS and Mansford will go for it in the summer, and are hopefully scouting now.
I half expect us to match or better our transfer record.
 
I also think we will get even better quality coming through the doors in the summer and I am hoping they get their business done in May and June then the players have all pre season to gel
 
Just been searching around AVFTT for a list of players who are still here next season and this is the most definitive list I can find - of those I think we have options ..


Husband, MacDonald, Edwards, Ward, Spearing Kaikai, Feeney, Virtue, Garrity, Fonz, Hardie and Madine

Not seen a few of them play and others haven’t quite hit their stride with us but I’d say as a starting point the 12 is a solid enough base?
