Players we had on trial but didn't sign

Based on Plumbs revelation (for me at least) that we'd had Kenny Irons on trial once - what players played friendly or behind closed doors or ressie matches but never actually signed on the dotted line...
 
We had a right back called Richard Brown on trial during pre-season in the 90s. He looked brilliant, but we didn't sign him and I never heard anything about him again. I think he was ex-Blackburn?
 
Vladimir But (Russian International and Ex Borussia Dortmund), Pieter Collen (Belgian International and Ex Feyenoord), Freddy Adu (was here for about 2/3 months) and about half of the Latvian national team from about 2007-2010 at one point or another !

As for Richard Brown, I think he was a player Billy Ayre wanted to sign after selling Tricky Trev ... later got released by T’Rovers and came in on trial but didn’t stay ... drifted out of football after that

Apparently Blackburn offered a player exchange based transfer for Trevor Sinclair in which Richard Brown was one of the players offered (other 2 were Nicky Marker & Matt Dickins I believe).
Brown did sign on a short term deal a couple of years later & i think played in the 2 legs of the league cup against Bradford in 1995?
 
Robbie Fowler? Also I can remember a former Prem player who'd piled on the pounds training/trialling with us because I remember the pictures but can't remember who that was. Anyone?
