I’ve been told on here some of you “detest” me because i am Irish

is this true? Im not posting this to ruffle the chap who said its feathers but to most sincerely know if people feel that way or not as it’s playing on my mind

I personally absolutely love the English of today and it’s my favourite country in the world after my own

Ignore that bell end

I'm not a fan of Limerick itself, the town obvs, only drove through on the way to Kerry, which Sneems like a nice place. All nice people.

A myriad of reasons but nothing to with being Irish 🙃

Only joking of course, love The Irish North & South, the craic the Guineas and gambling! Often think I am of Irish decent.

I saw your response to the post LT, that it had hurt you.
Please don't allow it to do so. Just treat it as a one off ill advised post. I just voted no, of course.

Td53 - I worked on Leigh Road Hindley Green , the Beverly Hills of Wigan apparently!!

My Great Grandparents where Irish my wife Scottish and I've just had Welsh Lamb for tea. 😁
Anyone who hates any nation of people is a simpleton end of.

Now banter is another thing so sod the Paddy's stuff the Jocks and the Taff's can do one.🤣

All Pool fans welcome on here ...I think I read somewhere that you went to games during the boycott and you should appreciate that would upset some fans and get you a lot more stick than being Irish...however I see you as a passionate Blackpool fan and that will do for me

In all seriousness I think Recidivist was actually trying to make a point having read the thread. I don't hate anyone cos of any nationality and if anyone does *actually* hate you cos you're Irish, then they can fuck off but then claiming Hasselbank 'is the sort to play the race card' over a frozen pitch - nah, fuck off with that m8 in all honesty.

My dad used to work in Hindley Green (or Hinkleh green as Wiganese would have it) at what was once EJA and I think is now Rockwell cos it got bought out about 6 times over.

Not far away TP99. Swan Lane was about half a mile away from our estate. We were next door to the PPG plant.
I worked at the KMI building which faced Leigh Rd opposite a carpet store/warehouse. Left in early 2019.
Near me then..
I live in Daisy Hill..
Near Wearish lane

Wtf? I think it's absolutely fantastic that we have fans in Ireland and elsewhere.
My sisters partner is from Dublin and one of my best friends is from Omeath.

Please don't let it get to you Limerick. They are nasty bastards who need to grow up. I bet they wouldn't say their shit to your face.

Not me -just the English when the egg chasing is on and they'll be getting a good whopping when they play us Welsh.
Men of Harlech on to glory, see your banner famed in story...

Lets be honest, If you've not been down the canal round Platt Bridge way, you can't really claim Venice is special.
Did a great round trip there last year on bikes, starting from Three Sisters at Ashton, across to Viridor Wood to join the canal at Abram, then north along the canal side by the flashes (didn't realise how many there were in that area - bird watching paradise) up to Scotsman's Flash then back down to Three Sisters on the west side. All off road. Great place to ride a bike.

Limerick, I don’t know you so I would have no reason on earth to detest you.
That is strong word mate and it comes across that you don’t have much self esteem.
I do not know which post you are referring to but get a grip mate and ignore it.
A lot of people on this forum get stick (some more than others) but they still come back for more (me inclusive).
There are quite a few keyboard warriors on here so take it with a pinch of salt. 👍

End of the day we’re all Seasiders. More pressing things going on in the world than frozen pitches and if Critchley is doing a good job.

I wouldn’t worry if some faceless dweeb on a football message board didn’t like you. Chin up, fella

The canal round the flashes is lush and there's some brilliant almost wilderness if you get out behind Ince, round near to where the Railway depot is. It's all old mining country and some of the pit land, not just the stuff round three sisters where they've landscaped, but some of the bits that have just been left, presumably cos they can't build on them has left some interesting space. It's mad how the flashes aren't actually natural features, but then I always think that about canals. They seem so permanent, but obviously they aren't.

Lived the first part of my life backing onto Chat Moss and that's an incredible landscape. So flat and wild and strange.

Limerick, I voted no and penned you a supportive post, above. However, having seen the conversation that gave rise to the other person's post I have to say that neither of you cover yourselves in glory.
I believe that JFH would carry on like that hes obnoxious, I wouldn’t say that about any other manager likes of Darren Moore for e.g is a fantastic bloke

Who the hell said that !!!!
It’s irrelevant to me where you are from , you’re one of us 👍

Did a walk around Chat Moss too last year. Sounds a bit ironic but I presume the building of the M62 is what made that area cut off?

I guess so. Some of it is an sssi but I'd guess you are right. It's really odd how you walk through nothing and then hit Salford on the other side. I grew up in a pit village that backed on to it. It was a fantastic childhood tbh. Used to go on the road up to the moss collecting horse shit with one of the old pitmen to put on his allotment, there was a proper rag and bone cart and used to love going and watching the trains racing across the moss. Feels like something from another age when I think of it.

It's a strange landscape, all the self built houses. Proper gypsy country, has a slightly 'off the map' feel about it.

Here's a completely random fact. When they built the Liverpool to Manchester line, the actually floated across the moss and bogland and I believe I'm right in saying, the layer of whatever it was they floated it on wasn't altered until this century, possibly when they electrified the line. I think it was basically a wooden platform that they then built up and around
