Plymouth's First 10 games

Thought it might be interesting to see how Plymouth started last season as I do believe those first 10 games are vital.
Interesting they lost to the Cods and got battered by Charlton, however the fact they were beating the likes of Barnsley, Bolton, Ipswich and Derby shows their pedigree.
S0 22/30 points was their haul - average of 2 points per game and what we need to strive to achieve in Aug/Sept.

Don't think the first 10 games are 'vital'. The last 2 times we have been promoted from this division we have started slowly.
Get yourself sorted in the first half of the season and look to push on in the New Year seems to be the way we go about it.

22 points is a dream start and we don't currently have the players to have those kind of expectations, in my opinion

10 games in was historically when the league table took shape. Where you were then would be a good barometer of where you would likely finish.

There are anomalies such as 3 years ago when we had an ordinary start but went on to be probably the best team in the league by the end of the season. As said above, a decent start would have probably seen us go up automatically and maybe even as champions.

Having a look at last seasons league 1 table even getting 20 points from every 10 games wouldn’t have been enough to have got in the top 2!!
