PMQ's today.

Great to see Lammy having a strop when he was continually asked the same question šŸ˜„ of course he still failed to answer. šŸ™„

From 14mins 30 secs.

It’s very obvious that the Tory guy knew someone else had been released by mistake last week the police knew yesterday so either Lammy knew which is why he didn’t answer or he didn’t know which he should. Losing your rag at the despstch box is the worst thing a parliamentarian could do( Lammy doesn’t qualify as one šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø)

I thought it was a stupid question which was sort of answered the first time.

Lammy can't know what the situation is every second of every day. If somebody is released in error, then somebody somewhere has made a mistake, but it's not Lammy's fault, it's somebody lower down the chain. Procedures perhaps need to improve but again surely this is local management responsibility. It's all a bit shit tbh, pathetic point scoring questions and stupid evasion and faux outrage by Lammy.

PMQ's should be dropped and they can use the hour to do some actual Parliamentary work. OK, just drop PMQ's and take a longer lunch.

It's pathetic.

Don't understand your last sentence.

said it before, i've never ever watched it but some seem to have an obsession with it. Each to their own.

Just seems a school playground where the objective is to bully the other party. Bully probably the wrong word, but call to account also wrong. Just going through the what's expected motions, without any substance or lasting meaning.

I'd sack the lot and put me in charge.

Because he won't have every prisoner's details to hand at all time?
Of course he does you left wing tosser!!!

He has everyone on CCTV in his bedroom and even the WC. He knew all about it before it happened and should be sacked for not letting himself know. Even his excuse of being busy stopping the boats on Stanley park lake won't wash.

It's a useful insight into the skills and abilities of the PM, perhaps not for you and me, but for the lobby journalists, and other MP's, invaluable.

I can guarantee that neither Trump nor any of his predecessors (maybe JFK) would want to enter that bear pit. They would gate the immediacy of the attention. Trump would be useless and could not stand being told what to do by the Speaker. Not all British PMs can handle it: Churchill, Wilson, Thatcher, Blair and (perhaps) Cameron could do it. Johnson loved it but he wasn't as good at it as he thought he was. Starmer isn't bad but with social media he has a tough job on at PMQs.

I heard there's CCTV footage of him in Wandsworth with a big bunch of keys...

So why didn't he answer the question?
How? He was being asked a question about a prisoner who was released in error and only reported to the police that day. As it turns out there were two of them which you must admit is very funny. There's never been a fuss about this before but of course you make a big deal of it now. As I have pointed out frequently before the entire criminal justice system is a farce. You want it fixed? Suck up tax rises.

It was interesting to note the lack of poppies on the Gov't benches, including, but not only, Lammy, who had to be handed one because he had forgotten to put one on.

Whether anyone agrees or disagrees with wearing a poppy, it is a matter of respect for those that have died defending this country.

Lammy was informed onTuesday of the position and given a written statement on it. But, he still refused to answer the question.
He also refused a request from the Speaker to come back to Parliament later to make a statement. And he put up a junior minister this morning to deal with questions.
He doesn't like personal criticism or taking responsibility

I think Lammy is a bungling oaf. In PMQs he always looks confused with that stupid nod that he does whenever the PM speaks and when he is on TV interviews he always waffles on and deflects as if he is not sure or totally convinced of the government policies he is supposed to suppprt.
As much as I don’t support Starmer it actually frightens me that Lammy is 2nd in command.
Maybe away from the limelight Lammy is more competent and serves his constituents well as he has somehow managed to bag numerous awards. Even most labour supporters I speak to agree he is the weak link in the cabinet.

Lammy is ultimately responsible regardless. The biggest issue for Lammy is the promise he made one week ago that this won’t happen again. You should never make promises that you can’t 100% guarantee. Otherwise, nobody will have any faith that you can do the job.

Telling the truth, whatever it was, might've been a start.

Can you show me where I've made a big deal of it? AFAIK, my only comment on the matter was to say that we probably shouldn't blame Lammy for this mistake.

David Lammy had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!
And on his farm he used to have a cow, E-I-E-I-O!
With a [silence] here and a [silence] there,
Here a [silence], there a [silence],
Everywhere a [silence],
David Lammy had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!
