Pool were not unlucky.

They play at their best when they play the high press. They lost all impetus when their prime “presser”,
Matty Virtue was withdrawn. Taking Simms off also freed up defenders to join in the push for an equaliser, which duly arrived. Pool could not keep the ball in the last 10 mins, had no one to clear it to, and resorted to just booting it up the pitch. Another ( Ipswich ) craven decision to abandon both the press and the attack.

Whenever I watch I follow which has been every game I,ve Never seen Virtue press more in the final third than he does when loitering around in the defence third. Maybe I live in a parallel world?

Well. I’d say losing Ekpiteta, Grettarson, Hamilton and Madine for a large period of time, all at the same time is pretty unlucky, but appreciate what you’re saying regarding the tactics
It is, definitely but don't want to sound like a Liverpool fan... No question we've had injuries but I don't know enough about other squads to know if we've more, less or the same as others... Definitely suffered from them being key players.

I would describe their goal as unluckly for us, bet if they tried to do that one hundred times it wouldn't go in. Need a couple of wins now to get us back on track.

Critchley has been bragging all season about our strength in depth, I have yet to see evidence of this.

1 loss in 8 pretty decent, I’d say, but sure. We’re awful and everyone wants sacking....
I am not saying everyone wants sacking, in fact I have never called for anyone’s sacking. But we are disillusioned if we think this squad is good enough, it patently isn’t.

Or the squad is good enough and the head coach isn’t.

I said on another thread, Madine is one hell of a loss, he keeps big central defenders occupied and we have them marauding at our end of the pitch when he isn't playing. A nippy fullback can stick with Yates and even Simms doesn't have his presence. Even West Brom and big Sam were more worried about him than anyone else.

So the manager’s substitutions were at fault then !

Crewe and Wimbledon both made us look pedestrian. They both moved the ball better than us and realistically we could have 0 points from those games.

I’m not disagreeing with anyone regards pools performance, but their goal was still jammy as fuck. Shite shot going wide a flick out from a the striker and it loops over the keeper into the corner. That’s unlucky.
Totally agree but for some on here it wasn’t which gives them the opportunity to have another moan.
Had they not scored nothing would have been said

Well itsdown to the players to express their ambition on Tuesday followed by Sat - neither side will be shy and our near neighbours are on fire !

I have no idea what will be the outcomes - maybe Tuesday on the road again trying to get clean sheet might help us - who knows - good luck to those watching and playing

I am not bothered about the result, what worries me is the negative football we are playing. We have gone from a team that pings the ball in a free flowing manner, who attack at will to a team that is clueless when they have the ball and resort to passing it across the back and then lump it forward... its one trick garbage.
