Does anyone have any suggestions for pre match in Stoke please ? The pub we were all corralled in around the corner from the station last season was a hellhole. Did someone previously mention a rugby club not too far from the stadium itself ?

The Titanic is old-fashioned but does have a very good range of beers at reasonable prices. It’s in Newcastle-u-Lyme, so it’s about a 30 minutes walk to the stadium. Or, spare the last pint. They will order a taxi for you but the traffic is almost always grim.
