Does (N) mean neutral for the Newport County game?
Yeh. Neutral venue perhaps it’s an Myerscough ?

I don’t see where they’d fit another game in looks like a pretty settled pre season.

I’d be surprised if they went with midweek games given the extended season we had and players seemingly getting wear and tear injuries.

I’d assume the Newport squad will either be near wherever the training camp is or the training camp is close to Newport and it will played at the training facilities.

Is it me but does it really matter who we play pre season...there are plenty of good quality games to look forward too and Covid restrictions are still likely to be in place for much of July.
Getting the players fit and up to catch is all that matters.

...and with all those sweaties converging on London today I would prefer us not to play any pre season down Sarf.

Bit underwhelmed by those fixtures to be honest but critchley always seems to have a master plan so I’m assuming as we’re playing teams who are a bit rubbish he’s preparing us for the local derbies with pne

If we're announcing other pre-season friendlies, where are we fitting them in?

The schedule seems fairly jam packed right up until the week before the season starts

Looks to me like the same low-profile pre-season we've had for the past decade. We play Squires Gate and Bamber Bridge while others play Sporting Lisbon and PSV Eindhoven. Apart from the obvious upside of playing top sides, it's surely better to be hitting the ground running at the right speed when the season kicks off instead of having to up a gear.

There’s usually only one at home if memory serves. But yeh maybe the stadium is under going such an over haul they’ll need the maximum amount of time to sort it before the season starts.

Wonder where the Newport game is.
I heard off a Newport mate that the neutral venue is likely to be Bisham Abbey near Marlow. Newport have a pre-season training camp near Reading so I guess it sounds plausible...

Liverpool and Everton last season and we might get similar again once the top teams sort their plans out? Or have they already?

There doesn't seem to be much room for big games, unless some of those announced are for the reserves. Hope you're right.
