Predictions update

Tricky 3 games coming up @Athers having predicted 3 straight wins .. if after 12 games we are where you said we’d be (especially with the current injury list) I’d be more than happy.

Obviously these were all predicted after the Ipswich loss. Lots of things I’d have changed:

Burton and Fleetwood were in good form
More bloody injuries and Ballard’s call up.

Probably won’t do it the way I predicted but I fancy us to get 75-78 points and make the playoffs

Fair play to @Athers for the Peterborough prediction .. not sure many would have been so bold. Now if the next two can just come off, we're then in to 4 games where he has only predicted 3 points from 12.

Plymouth won’t be easy. Jephcott one of the best forwards in the league, but we owe them one for opening day of the season. Still scratching my head how we didn’t win that game, let alone didn’t get a point

Not sure Jephcott’s available for them. Away with Wales U23.

I didn’t think your predictions had a hope in hell, what do I know eh. 😂

Can you re-do your predictions Athers and predict we will lose them all, as other than last night we've pretty much won the ones you thought we would lose 😉

Interesting you've gone for defeat at Lincoln - I think we'll get something there and same goes for Rochdale away .. bar the two Sunderland games, if we're on our game, that's not a bad set of fixtures.

We are good against "good" teams. And shite against shite teams. It's weird.
Just to support your point, a strange stat this season is we've only scored more than two goals in a home game on two occasions this season - against Hull and Peterborough, the top two. As you say, weird!

Update. A point better off from my 76 points prediction with 22 games after 11 played. Seconds away from getting today’s result spot on 🙄

Don’t think anyone saw us going on an 11 game unbeaten run after Ipswich away. Granted 6 wins and 5 draws, but still nothing to sniff at with our punishing schedule and massive injury list.

To get 76 points from our remaining games we need:

6 wins, a draw, 4 losses
5 wins, 4 draws, 2 losses

There is wiggle room, can afford a few losses but not many, especially when you factor in Sunderland twice

I think we'll do both Lincoln and Accrington!

All of these predictions were done after Ipswich. Bare in mind the likes of Burton, Accrington and Lincoln’s form very much changed since then.

On paper it’s doable. Need to have a little more favourable luck with injuries, as to our current form with luck aka fuck all

Ive been pretty pessimistic with our remaining ten games and we still make the playoffs. Win on Monday would ease a lot of pressure. Draw not a disaster

Bristol Rovers are trying to stay up; hopefully they don't need a result if we do.

Long way to go, but it's good to be ahead of where you predicted.

Come on Blackpool!

I'd be disappointed if we don't beat Accy on Tuesday and then give us some breathing space. Decent predicting though @Athers

Don’t big yourself up too much Athers, 3 correct results out of 14 really isn’t that good 😉
Hahaha I know. Had a mare. Bare in mind these predictions were straight after Ipswich when a lot of teams were in much different form and different places with injuries, covid and signings cough BURTON cough

Tough run in now with your predictions @Athers - have liked the fact the last 4 games have had little pressure - how many points are we ahead now?

Glad to see you have only predicted 1 point in the next two games - makes me nervous when you have predicted wins!!

From the 17 games so far Athers has predicted 9 wins 4 draws and 4 defeats

Weve actually had 9 wins 7 draws and 1 defeat.

However only 4 results out of those 17 have been correct Accrington, Peterborough, Swindon and Rochdale (H)

The thing that worries me is I agree we'll get nothing from the Sunderland match but the 'easier' games where you've predicted wins have been notoriously bad for us in the second half of the season.
That said, both Northampton and Bristol Rvs may be down by the time we play them so could yield 4 points.

But you never know.
These predictions show why there are no poor bookies 😉😁

If we knew those final 5 games were the results for the rest of the season, I'd take a 1-1 draw on Saturday!
