Prince William in Blackpool

I was up in hospitality that day and remember seeing him on the landing with his baseball cap on - kind of expected armed guards all around him. We beat Wolves 2-1 (just as well as Ollie apparently couldn't be arsed with a half time team talk and would sooner brown nose the Royals 😆 )

Went into one of my pubs on his way to Twickenham, to bodyguards stood at the bar, he sat on his own in the window with a bowl of chips and a coke.
 
That's hilarious, remember it well, the press on the pitch before the match, taking pics. we played well that day, and William was heard to remark "Wow, Blackpool are better than the Villa!" which was something I would gleefully tell my PNE supporting mates, that our future king is a Blackpool supporter, and that our club has Royal Approval,
 
I was Operations Manager at Holyhead Coastguard which is the control centre for North Wales and now covers up to North Cumbria including Fylde. Any emergency call will be directed to MRCC Holyhead.
I was giving him a demonstration on computer when he noticed my drinking mug “ We are Premier League”
We had a decent conversation however had to keep my trap shut. One of his RAF mates was having his stag do.

Got to feel sorry for the bloke - his cultural references are poor and he has clearly had such a closeted life that events like his mates Stag do must have been a brief glimpse of normality. Love Crouch's story at the end!
