Quick moan

Home?

I haven't lived in Blackpool since the early 90s

My point is that i live under a Labour government and i can tell you it really isn't all that
Well as an immigrant I think you should be much more appreciative of the country that’s been so welcoming to you. Not a good look slagging it off!

Imagine a Syrian coming over here and slagging off the U.K.!

Nothing can be worse than the far end of Warren Drive, just past the roundabout, where it meets Faraday Way..

It's like Port Stanley runway following the Vulcan bombing raid.

That mini roundabout connecting Norcross Lane / Faraday Way / Warren Drive and also the junction further down Faraday Way with Bispham Road
FFS so many holes its like it's been hit by artillery

The biggest problem I have seen is the poor quality of work when the pot holes have been (allegedly) repaired.
The repairs are uneven, they are higher than the existing tarmac so create a ramp on the approach and it is really poor workmanship. I will wager that once the repairs have been carried out no-one will check the quality of the work
When the government announce they are putting billions to improve the transport network across the Country surely the vast majority of the people would want local repairs done as a priority.

I'm not scrounging of the state though, I pay my taxes and I don't claim benefits

Not sure of your point to be honest

I know Prestatyn and that part of Wales very well, Having lived there from 3 weeks old 1948 till 1962, attending the local County Primary School on Caradoc Road (infants) and Marine Road . Both gone. I know it's easy to say that your childhood has all the good memories, however on my last trip to Prestatyn I was shocked at how it had deteriorated. The Holiday Camp where my Dad worked pulled down and the Ffrith Beach which was one of the highlights of the town a complete and utter mess.

I've read about the general introduction of a 20 mph speed limit, which has, in some hilly parts of Wales resulted in buses no longer being able to get to some villages, due to time taken and also loss of power in the engines at lower speeds. increasing general journey times from A to B significantly and thus affecting certain businesses.

So I understand fully what Phil is saying.

Potholes have become one of the most evident signs of a failing economy.

Talking of signs, there are lots of motorway signs that are peeling and becoming unreadable. Another reminder of the faltering wealth of this country.
I've just returned from holiday.
Two of the places I visited were Manila and Bitung. The wealth in the Philippines and Indonesia must be through the bloody roof.
Encountered one pothole in Bitung and a couple in Manila!!
Maybe these places put the money where its needed rather than giving out money like confetti to lazy bastards who have no intention of ever working!!
And you wonder why this countries goosed🤷🤔

Hands up who likes a drive on andsdell Road between the Waterloo Rd lights and Bloomfield Rd lights?
You actually need a lunar buggy for a decent drive!!
Uneven surfaces, potholes where you could stage Olympic swimming events and raised manhole covers.
Apart from that it's not too bad🤣

Michelle Mone £229 million for starters.

Just driven down the M6 for the North End match Saturday & there's some shockers on the actual motorway between Preston & Wigan. Downright dangerous.

It's really interesting tech and does look good and they can do sections a lot faster, just there's so much to do, but maybe these new methods will begin to catch up and last longer over time.

They need to be doing 1 a day ideally on all the main roads, then after that move to the smaller.

Huge job, the amount of cars these days is clearly contributing.
