Labour have caused this by dirty politics for 14 years in opposition & nitpicking over every issue from the useless Tories.

The BBC makes a fairly good job of being impartial whatever anyone thinks about them. It is right that they ask the difficult questions about this. The fact that both left and right routinely complain about them is a sign that they are fairly impartial.

I don’t agree. You’re still the landlord and you are still responsible for having the license.
The license would have been £900.00. If it were me I would have checked with the letting agents that it had been done, as it would ultimately be my responsibility.
Why is it any different in this case ? She is the landlord.

She is the chancellor of the exchequer which is, most would agree, a quite important job. She has plenty of more important things to attend to.
If anyone should have checked anything it should have been her husband as it seems that he was dealing with this. Is Reeves now responsible for her husband's actions as well as her own? It looks like he tried to do the right thing and was assured that the license was applied for.
It's a non-story and a bit of a witch-hunt IMO

What most of us don’t have is the privilege of not even noticing if £900.00 has been paid out from our account or not. Maybe she sould also use the excuse she has too much money to notice either way. Ignorance is no excuse.
Not a great look at all when you’re meant to be the party supporting the ‘little people.’
I don’t think she should resign, but I think it’s a really bad look, especially considering her involvement in regulating tenancies.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer isn't responsible for the licencing of landlords. If anything, it would be the Housing Minister.

The standards office have decided there is no case to answer.

Move on and get back to worshipping Farage at your shrine to him.

It's been exposed, the mistake will be rectified etc. In what other way should she be flagellated in public?
The stuff about how wealthy she is sort of irrelevant, she is a woman from an ordinary background who has worked hard and clearly has had to fight against a lot of misogyny given her position. I don't begrudge her a penny what she has got, it wasn't inherited wealth.

I don’t begrudge her a penny, but if this was Nigel Farage you would absolutely agree it’s not a good look, and you certainly wouldn't be bigging him up like you are RR. The hypocrisy is rife.

What will happen is the electorate will decide, and based on many things, including Labour’s little bouts of forgetfulness, they will.
 
I’ve got a few rentals around the Fylde and I fully manage them myself.....mostly because I don’t trust lettings agents after getting fleeced by one.

I use a paid app that reminds me when the insurance, gas certs, and all the other boring but essential bits are due.
Even then, it still eats up hours and hours of chasing useless tradesmen, emailing the DWP, or dealing with tenants who cant pay their rent this month and think the toilet can handle nappies after a sea of poo appears in the garden....

Rachel Reeves paid an agency to do this for her....12.5% of the rent every month to cover this stuff.
The agency should have made sure they had the admin done after renting the house out for over 13 months......

It’s not a secret code or a complex legal riddle.
It’s a basic tick-box exercise that anyone who actually runs a rental would know about....That's why she was paying the agency to get all this done

Agree.

We rented a house out and used a rental agency as it was a distant away. We had the tenants in for a number of years and arranged to see the house one day. The tenants let us know there were a few things that needed repairing and I said they need to let the agency know. They said they had repeatedly let the agency know. We spoke to the agency and after some digging around they said they had cocked up and not contacted us to get the work done. We sorted the work out for the tenants asap and then sacked off the agency and dealt with the tenants directly. Bit of a pain but saving 12.5 % for paying someone who could not trust to provide a service.

Said it many times, i'm not a Trump supporter, in fact i couldn't give a monkeys about American politics, I'll leave that to the likes of you to moan about, and neither could i give a monkeys about Farage and he will never ever get my vote.

But what i will continue to do is call out you lefties who continue to back what is proving to be pretty much a disaster of a govt who lie and get caught out and got so many things wrong since coming to power. Why do you think there ratings are so low at the moment. Is the rest of country wrong and the lefties on AVFTT right.? That wouldn't surprise me at all actually, because there are certain people on here who really come across as thinking that they are more intelligent than all those they call out. You being one of them of course.

It is amusing on here how some want to shut down debate on Reeves with claims like nothing to see here and criticising others who think there is. Whilst at the same time piling into Andrew and the monarchy from their republican pov. Double standards would you say? Oh and btw, aren't these Tory tabloids all piling into Andrew too. All justifiable of course.

She’s had credit cards taken off her, lied on her CV, messed up her house rental and she’s the chancellor of the exchequer 😆 All this after numerous tweets from her talking about “one rule for one” over a party and supporting the rental law she’s not sorted. Ahhhh yeh it was the letting agencies fault wasn’t it…

The weirdest thing in it all is grown men jumping to her defence just because of their political view so they feel that they have to defend it instead of just saying yeh she’s absolutely useless and can’t be in such an important role and make such basic errors. Imagine supporting someone who genuinely doesn’t give a flying fook about you.

95% of politicians are all bang at it and only care about themselves but some worship the ground they walk on whilst they’d walk all over you and smile doing it.

Sad as fook when you can’t just be honest because of your political view 🤮
