I know you like my posts so I appreciate your feelings, but I am married thank you.
At least two references of support for Blackpool and Blackpool South. What bits of those did you object to?One word……deluded
You have a very fractional sense of losing control! You and the rest of the Reform crackpot coalition. The simpleton squad.
Yep doing brilliantly, how many deluded luvvies are on this side of the site.
Seems ok considering the loss of control of the economy?I don't think investors are overly enthused. FTSE up a whopping 6 points.
Probably because they don’t know how it’s going to be paid for yetI don't think investors are overly enthused. FTSE up a whopping 6 points.
They have pushed overall index numbers to near record levels despite growing global dangers. You really shouldn't take much notice of them, it's all just a lucrative game to them.I don't think investors are overly enthused. FTSE up a whopping 6 points.
What worries me is the amount of borrowing- it’s eye watering - it’s our kids and their kids and beyond who will have to pay for this - and I am not sure it will create growth.I don't think investors are overly enthused. FTSE up a whopping 6 points.
Everything going in the wrong direction. You have a very fractional sense of losing control! You and the rest of the Reform crackpot coalition. The simpleton squad.
The lot before them were significantly worse and if Reform replaces them we will witness new levels of incompetence combined with deception in government, the service of the few. You're just too blind and stupid to realise it. You'll have to see it happen and even then might continue this state of denial and obsessive wishful thinking.Everything going in the wrong direction.
Only a comple thicko would be supporting this dodgy labour government now, so no surprise you are.
No I happen to have another opinion, that gets jumped on by the labour luvvies. The lot before them were significantly worse and if Reform replaces them we will witness new levels of incompetence combined with deception in government, the service of the few. You're just too blind and stupid to realise it. You'll have to see it happen and even then might continue this state of denial and obsessive wishful thinking.
Argument lost when you have to resort to abuseEverything going in the wrong direction.

I've called the right wing muppets various things like simpleton squad and crackpot coalition so I can handle a bit of return flack, deluded as it may be.Argument lost when you have to resort to abuse
It would be nice to get some genuine adult decision making though wouldn't it? Starmer is all scared to death, and Badenoch and Farage are just shockingly terrible. Playing daft games.I actually admire the politics going on here which is purely reactionary on Labour's part. Reform were trying (improbably) to outflank Labour from the left (NHS etc) and the Tories on the right with 'tuff on foriners'. A good approach I'd guess and I stress politically.
Mossy, yes there are elements of her speech which on face value could be excellent….. but we’ve been here before with the promises, lies and sound bites. Not sure what of today's announcements makes you so cross, Bendit?
More affordable housing, an attempt at a coherent energy generation policy, increased defence spending, cutting the asylum application backlog, stopping using hotels for asylum seekers within 4 years.
I struggle to understand anyone on here significantly disagreeing with those. If Uncle Nige was announcing those, JJ would be creaming his pants.
100%, I just don't characterise everything they change on as lies. Starmer lost my support with some of his backtracking, but I think of it is reacting rather than lying. Boris misleading the Queen was lying.Mossy, yes there are elements of her speech which on face value could be excellent….. but we’ve been here before with the promises, lies and sound bites.
Remember Starmer gushing repeatedly pre- election about everything has been costed.
Realistically by the time IF the hotel situation is sorted a further £20 billion will have been spent on them.
Defence spending is way short and Reeves knows it.
As for energy, a new U-turn on policy to accompany the WFA.
So you might be able to understand my pessimism even if you don’t agree with me.
Hey, its contraryalf my personal stalker. At least two references of support for Blackpool and Blackpool South. What bits of those did you object to?
Edit to add, you posted the OP only a few minutes after she started speaking. You couldn't wait to actually listen to it, could you ?
Very good post until you said that.tiny fraction of immigration
Yep, process quickly and deport.100%, I just don't characterise everything they change on as lies. Starmer lost my support with some of his backtracking, but I think of it is reacting rather than lying. Boris misleading the Queen was lying.
And it always comes back to the same problem, from where do you get the money? There is no magic way to turn the tiny fraction of immigration on the boats off, even if the Tories Rawanda plan had worked, it was for about a day's worth at £700M.
Many of us on here have been saying for years, the way to deal with the cost of immigration is to process asylum seekers hugely quicker, invest now in staff to reduce all the other costs down the line. Maybe let them work and pay tax and contribute whilst awaiting a decision. These are real savings possibilities in the real world.
Maybe look at the post I was replying to, funny you've missed it.Argument lost when you have to resort to abuse
Maybe if you went such an angry poster at times people could disagree without the need for silly names. We are all Blackpool fans afterall, well some aren't, but most are.I've called the right wing muppets various things like simpleton squad and crackpot coalition so I can handle a bit of return flack, deluded as it may be.
Ha ha within 4 yearsNot sure what of today's announcements makes you so cross, Bendit?

There are less sound bites than previous chancellors but the budget seems to be adopting the Chinese model of borrowing to invest.
Many saying the spending isn’t enough.
Many saying it’s too much and we cant afford it.
Watching Peston on the news the economy hasn’t grown for 15 years hence we don’t have the money for the same public services as pre-austerity.
So how do we grow the economy because 15 years of ideas and still failing ?
If it can't be sorted in a year, I wonder why that is?I think they are doing quite well considering the mess they were left.
It's typical of the entitled right to think it would all be sorted within a year and no mistakes would be made along the way.
Gives them a reason to be angry all the time though I suppose.
The first 14 years was deliberate stagnation. Many saying the spending isn’t enough.

And yet Labour couldn’t get a viable plan for governing in the meantime, and yet try to get by with ineptness, u-turns and lies. The first 14 years was deliberate stagnation.
It’s all spend, spend, spend…..which means borrow, borrow borrow…
Well, my wife has been waiting for an appointment from hospital, for a painful condition, for over 6 months. The waiting time has been extended every month for the last 3 months. They've got 4 years still to improve things for the majority. As we stand today, there aren't too many groups who have benefit from the first year in power. Perhaps patients requiring medical service have been seen quicker maybe?
Well, it is off to a disappointing start with he announcement the economy shrank by 0.3% in April. Economists had predicted a 0.1% fall.
