Yep, there is definitely a pattern emerging where they've all been warned not to film the actual game footage. Probably a threat of their content being copyrighted and blocked, interesting that any game footage is considered property of the EFL - even to the extent you are not allowed to film the pitch during the game.

Strange that Lee Charles is claiming its a creative decision, Ramos also not doing it is clear proof they've been told. Look at how he quickly jolts the camera further away to ensure he doesn't capture any footage of the first goal.

100% they’ve been told.

The format used to show the goals - and I used to enjoy it not only for the crowd perspective, but also for the alternative angles.

Seems ridiculous to me too and pretty much destroys a positive culture that has developed with vlogģing, which is actually a free marketing tool for the EFL and its clubs. Presumably one of the tv channels has kicked off about it, Sky or ITV? Or both.
 
There should be some allowances, like letting them put the goals/highlights on after the highlights have already been officially released? I only really want to see the atmosphere/goals anyway.
 
Loved the video🤩 I can see his creative juices starting to flow already. Once he gets to grips with his new direction and the freedom that he now has to film the atmosphere the drama in the stands he will become even more creative 🙂👍🏻

The EFL seem to think YouTube vlogs are all about them but they're not they are about people/ content creators and us, the fans and our journeys, the highs and the lows.

Peter McKinnon has 5.5M subscribers on YouTube not because he shoots on Canon but because he is Peter McKinnon and his videos are frickin good 😁
 
TV companies pay millions for the rights it will be them bringing pressure onto the EFL
 
It’s a shocking decision. As Mac says the goals have been shown before any content is released. And it’s a great service these guys do. They will lose views overall now and it doesn’t cost the EFL anything to let them continue as they were.

A big fat BOOOOO.
 
The Football industry scores own goals with things like this. It's free advertising and coverage. Some of these VLogs have helped keep me interested in the side at times when I've not been able to attend. Similar to the Premier League that I no longer bother with, they can block and encrypt all the channels but it ends up in people losing interest and not attending matches in the flesh.

Notice you had the goals Lee - are you allowed a certain amount of time or are you running the gauntlet. Love the banter between you and Jane more than the goals tbh!

I think its stretching it to say 'I had the goals' 🤣 I am trying to film the crowd reaction as the ball goes in so people infront of me jumping up is what I'm trying to get or better still if we happen to be talking to camera as something unbelievable happens like the late winner against Wigan where Jane's reaction is the best thing I've filmed ever IMHO 😁🤩
