Seeing Boreham Wood yesterday made me smile - took an ex girlfriend there about 10 years ago and we lost 2-1 and I was in such a foul mood on the way home, we had a blazing row and ended the relationship a couple of weeks later!!

Remember in Tenerife that day Pool shirt on walking past a beer, heard someone shout the score out. He was one of 2 Pool fans who worked there they drank in the Oxford seen them at odd away games over the years!!😢🍺🍊

Vardy went on to great things and then the Cods had a representative in the golf, making Fleetwood Town the only club to win both the Premier League and the Ryder Cup.

Knocks those who only have a Ballon D'or down a peg or two :-)

I was about to say r that. I was at the game with about 200 pool in a scratching shed type stand with a gap at the top where a bunch of gobby tvvats lobbed all sorts through, including car tyres! They were lobbed back over before a bunch of ours climbed over n chased them off 😂. Others must remember that.

Me too I was with my girlfriend from Polytechic, we had driven up from Sheffield.

I could see how tough it was walking up to the ground "Sunderland fans" yes Sunderland in abundance.

I decided to not to go on the Blackpool end, didn't like seeing the wave of attacks on the 300 or so Blackpool on there.

And despite a few having a go it was Horden and who had the upper hand.

It wasn't pleasent where I was, this fat ** 10/15 years older than me overheard our conversation about being Blackpool fans, and said to me "You cheer your team once you won't be taking her out tonight"......not suprisingly we moved and couldn't wait for the final whistle and to get back to the car in one piece and drive back to Blackpool.

Games like that in those days were all about "survival" on the day and bragging you were there !!!!! 🤣🤣🧡🧡
