Most of the top European leagues are dominated by one or two teams. Germany, France & in recent years EPL although Leicester bucked the trend.
Before we were saturated with live football after the FA cup final the next highlight in the 70's was the England vs Scotland home international. More Scots at Wembley than English & Hampden Park was always intimidating. Quite often the Scottish team had more flair players than us.
For BFC you only have to think of the likes of Tony Green, Tommy Hutch & Georgie Wood.
I went to a catholic junior school yet had a great interest in following Rangers as my Scottish team. Think it was because I liked the kit.
I for one feel sad Scottish football has been left behind. All about TV money these days.
