Returning to Bloomfield road

Since the return to Bloomfield road has the wait be worth it and what's the best moment since the oystons have gone so far?

Yes well worth the sacrifice me my daughter and granddaughter made and I readily admit I couldn't have done at it her age ,she was 11 when we started boycotting. And the best moment hasn't come yet!!

Good to hear I've not seen a game since jd1 but am inching closer roughly 2 years to to go and I must admit I cant wait it's feels like it's been a life time 😐

It's been great to return. Would obviously have been better if we had played football that excited and wasnt aimless but its grounded us a bit and hopefully we can only improve soon.

I've loved some of the atmospheres before the team sucked all the energy out the crowd and deflated us. Even with that were still louder than most. Cant wait for Bolton under the lights. A proper derby with surely a great chance to win.

Tell all BFC mates and family to get their arses down, especially now Grayson has gone. Lets make it a big attendance and great atmosphere.

Yes, and the homecoming was something else. 4 sides Tangerine, the march, friends hugging each other, walking into the stadium and seeing the pitch for the first time in years, the non stop wall of sound, everyone, but everyone, grinning from ear to ear. It;s a bit dusty in here, must get the Hoover out!

It's great to be able to meet friends again after the boycott and have a few pints before the main event, then to watch the lads in action, I'm sure it will get better, and to see the smiles on peoples faces again plus the arguments of who did what and why. It's all part of the game. Great to see a decent pitch aswell. 🍻 ⚽ 👍

Certainly the HOMECOMING was a day that I will never forget, the most poignant moment for me
was seeing a young fan entering the ground and he was crying.
His friend was trying to console him and it makes you realise how much it can mean to fan's.
Then going to the fan's forum hearing Simon Sadler speak on his ambitions for our Club.
We certainly are going through a transition period but I firmly believe that we will become a bigger and better Club. UTMP

The Homecoming was an emotional and defining moment in the history of BFC and a day l will never forget. We’ve had a roller coaster of a season but we’re just grateful to be back watching our beloved team. We will recover there is no doubt as SS values come in to place and you can see what he’s achieved so far off the pitch.

UTMP 👍

I was on holiday for the homecoming game. Plymouth was my first game back since Burnley 4-0 April 2012.

Won’t lie, entered the ground with a tear in my eye

Loving being back, the screens, the flags, good sponsors and club shop is miles better.

The Home coming was great, Bristol at home was awesome. Peterborough, Fleetwood, 2nd half against Portsmouth all enjoyable games.

IMO, apart from Reading in the cup, no game this season has been as bad as the home games towards the end of last season. They were awful!

My favourite photo taken on the Blackpool return parade 2019 - by me😁 - from Tower to Bloomfield Road - why does this picture work ?

Because -
1. It's into the light, the flags are backlit and almost luminous
2. You are seeing it from a fans perspective, walking with them towards their destination
3. It's 9 March 2019, windy, slight haze from the sea spray
4. There is a youth, bottom right, looking right at me (dunno his name) whilst everyone is walking away from me into the wind
5. It's better than the ones with the Tower in background, because everyone is walking towards me, it's a cliche shot
6. Blackpool are Back - that's why it works !!

Wonderful photo Para you have really captured that moment.
That would look great if that could be put on a flag and hung inside the ground.
A fitting memorial of that great day UTMP.
P. S would willing donate if possible.

It's been 10yrs since I went to a game. May have to make a return with my son as he is part of the future supporting the club.
I haven't missed football generally but I do miss Bloomfield Rd and the buzz and I used to get from being there.

It's just a different feeling now whatever the results. The Os have gone and it's OUR team once again.
Strangely it just feels right walking into the ground. Difficult to explain, but I'm sure you all know what I mean. 😁

Definitely Dave I know exactly what you mean, I never felt as a supporter I was valued under you know who.
But I do now, I feel totally different now knowing he is not looking down on us from his throne.
Even though results at the moment aren't good I am loving every minute, because I firmly believe the good times will come UTMP

The home coming game v Southend was a magical day all round. I have never seen an atmosphere so good at Bloomfield Road. Tje Excelsior before the game was fantastic as well. Amazing day. Also had a big lump in my throat and a teary set of eyes entering the ground for the first time since 2014. Took about three days for my voice to return as well 😂

Beating Peterborough and Pompey early on gave us a false picture but they were good displays nevertheless.

Putting Fleetwood back in their box in December was my highlight.

I loved the homecoming and then the anticipation and excitement for the first game of this season. After that it's actually never felt as if we've been away!

You've got a principled, decent daughter there Davetomo who you must be very proud of? 😎👍

More integrity than the band of mushies combined and some!
