It won't affect the outcome of these proceedings, but that is no longer the point really, is it?

Everyone is playing to the gallery now, and the gallery is the US electorate.

My take on it is that all depends on the Democrats getting their vote out in November. if they do, they will win. If not....
 
Trump will sadly walk it in November and the Doomsday Clock will probably be moved a few seconds forward 😕
 
'It's the economy you dummy' - Trump is an adherent of the old Clinton mantra and sadly that will probably be enough to see him win later on this year. His regressive anti-green and isolationist trade policies have bought about a short term economic boom which will in all likelihood bring him back to power.

It may be closer than some think as the Democrats actually secured more votes than Trump in the last election (but won less states). It largely depends on getting the right candidate, Hilary had too much baggage for a lot of voters. I somehow can't see Sanders winning in the US and Buttglieg is certainly a different choice. TBH I haven't seen enough of them to have an opinion on who I think would challenge. Certainly Trump thinks that Biden is a serious threat given his actions.
 
I think Trump and centre right politics (if you will) are in vogue at the mo and likely to continue as normal people feel largely ignored. Wont help the Patriots though and their rather feckless,glory hunting worldwide support 😛
