Plymouth fans seem to think they're going to steal him away from us.
I just can't see it.
There's no way we're signing young players from the league below with bags of pace and a knack for goal scoring to then sell exactly the same type of player.
If Plymouth want him for League 1 - then surely he's good enough for us in League 1-and if Plymouth can afford to bid then surely whatever they can afford won't be enough for us to sell - or what's the point in any of this ?

I don't think there is any substance to this, just them naturally wanting to keep a loan player who did well for them. Money is tight at Plymouth and that is the only thing that will take him to Home Park. If Critchley has watched his 'highlights' for us it wouldn't surprise me to see him leave though but more likely to a club that can stump up a bit of money.

Personally I think there is substance to this,he had a very successful loan spell there and I’d be surprised if he wasn’t one of Plymouth’s main targets, the fans loved him he’s clearly well liked and felt wanted which he didn’t here under Grayson,I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to go back there if I’m honest,it’s up to Critchley at the end of the day.

I'd like to see him given a proper chance with us as I feel he's got something to offer.

It makes zero sense for us to adopt a policy of signing young forwards with potential from league 2, only to go and sell one who arguably did as well if not better last season than the ones we've signed. And to a rival.

It's not impossible, but I'd be really surprised if this happened considering the direction we've taken in recent weeks.

Critchley should be looking at him in action for us first. If, after that, he isn't up to scratch or doesn't fit in, we can either loan him out or sell him. And we shouldn't be loaning to another L1 club

We definitely didn't get to see the best of him because he was woeful in truth. Clearly he has something as he was highly rated when we signed him and he did very well in League 2. Maybe with better coaching or a system that suits he could still be a success. The problem is we can't play all these forwards and he is dropping down the pecking order.

Plymouth would not be able to afford him, and cannot see us giving him away so cannot see this happening
Not sure of Plymouth’s finances, but there’s more ways to get a transfer over the line than paying a lump sum up top, instalments add ons etc,he won’t be one of our highest earners.

Yep, give him a good pre-season,judge him and IF we have a replacement then let him go and not until.

Surely if the club receives a decent sum they’d have to consider it, Hardie cost us quite a bit I think? So if we have the opportunity to make something back off a player who offered absolutely nothing for us last season that might be hard to turn down. Despite that I really hope he’s given a chance, him and Nuttall both

The Hardie problem is we have just signed someone er who's a bit like him and will start over everyone else and with the players we have also signed it ain't going to be a 442 with two up top as he played at Plymouth.
He can't play out wide in a 3 and is competing with Madine ,Nutall and even Anderson(who will probably be out wide) for a spot.

Over to you Neil.

Can’t see both Hardie and Nuttall being here come the start of the season whether that be a loan out or permanent not sure.

Thats my concern if were only going to play one forward is he going to get the amount of game time he wants?

Just going off how he was when he came here he clearly wants to make runs through the middle and we werent offering him those balls when we were so focussed on getting the ball out wide. From the little bits ive seen of Hardie he isnt going to thrive on crosses or balls across the six yard box he wants to time his run through the middle and I still dont think we have that player to make those passes.Madine might find him that way but then that goes back to how many forwards Critchley might start.

He was used as a “super sub” for Plymouth last season, hurting teams with his pace when defences started to tire.

Hopefully he’ll play a similar role for us this season.

Plymouth fans think he's already their's for about £200'00. Not sure about that but I think a lot will depend on his attitude here and if he has the desire to make a go of it with the Pool...I'd like him to stay but of course it also depends if Critchley wants him enough.

I would like him to stay and given a chance.

But if he does go what a great club to go to. I stumbled across a Plymouth fans forum couple wks back, there chairman is Like Sadler, regular fan who loves the club and wants things done right, I was very impressed by him.

I think it comes down to whether the player likes it so much at Plymouth as their main man taking all the plaudits every week infront of adoring fans or he wants to really have a go at challenging for promotion From League One as part of a squad/rotating front line here.

Plymouth will surely be able to match or improve his current contract wages, and if the player wants to go then £200k sounds like something was should take. If he stays with us it shows his fight and mettle to be a player.

2 things:

Firstly, I trust Critchley to judge whether he feels he/we need Hardie.

And b, if he were to leave, we know any monies received would be given back to strengthening the squad.

What a time to be alive as a Blackpool fan.

We haven t that many forwards to be able to let Hardie go anywhere considering the number of matches
to be played and possible injuries, suspensions & loss of form.

He only got played by Grayson in that Tin Pot Bubble Gum Cup or whatever it was called with Prem teams U21 players. NC will do whats best for The Mighty and the player himself, but l would like to see him given the chance.

He barely started any games for Plymouth in League Two, albeit scored a few from off the bench. Does that make him a certain starter in League One?

I think they’ve looked at who we’ve signed and presumed he’ll be surplus to requirement?

We played a 3-5-2 mainly but also 4-3-3 he completely changed our season and team when he came on loan. I would go as far as saying from what I’ve seen he could be one of the most clinical strikers we’ve had Since Bradley Wright Philips. Anytime he’s 1 on 1 or running at a defender you
Expect rather then hope he will score.

Critchley must see something in Nuttall if so I trust his judgement but would have sooner seen RH stay but all the best to the lad

Might be more down to the player's personal choice. If he were offered the chance to stay and try to prove himself, or move to where he's known and wanted, it's not a tough decision. It's not as if he's settled and has made roots in Blackpool

Dont really get this clamour to keep him. He looked out of his depth for us , lightweight and no goal threat. If we can get a fee for him, then id sell and wish him well.

It's the FOMO 😄 It would be a bit annoying if he turned out to be a Billy Sharp or even a Luke Beckett. Plymouth's setup obviously works better for him. Hope he's a success, but not too much of one!

Great expectations for Hardie when he arrived, but he was a big disappointment for me. People saying he needed more opportunities but he had opportunities and didn't really take them. Far too lightweight and not good enough for top of League 1 and beyond, which is where we aim to be.

If NC has given his blessing to this, I have no problem with it.
Presumably there will be a sell on clause so if he is a success down there we will receive something.

If you get him it will be your gain and definitely our loss. He never got a fair chance under Grayson and after his record with you during his loan, I thought he might have been given a chance. Good luck to him and the Pilgrims, except when you play us of course.😜

He disappointed because of Graysons hoof ball. Sergio Aguero would disappoint under that.

Really can’t see selling Hardie coming back to haunt us,though I would of liked him to stay and fight for a place i wouldn’t be that bothered if he went and we got our money back, much better players out there.

I hope these people who are happy to let him go, arnt they same people urging Nuttall to get a chance under Critchley. As he was just as impotent with a larger sample size to go off.
Not a dig at Nuttall per say it’s just,
everyone last year looked poor, Grayson tactics, uncertainty at board and management level pre season all put pay to a cohesive season.

Just thought Hardie has something about him in the glimpses we saw of him here and then obviously the spell at Argyle.

But if he is going then yes, good luck to him we’ve stocked up on strikers so should be ok.
