Ryder Cup 2025

Not a fan of the US of A fans it has to be said however, the shout of "get some cardio" to Robert MacIntyre pre teeing off was quite amusing!

Oi Mark, totally off topic, 3 of us went to the New Day Festival in Faversham this August, it was amazing, you would love it, have you ever given it any thought? 2 stages, 2000 people, great food and drink at reasonable prices and loads of great bands. You should give it a go, we are already booked for next year, tickets and glamping with real beds!!

Good friend of Caroline goes every year and loves it. Tempted but maybe a day ticket. Don't do tents at our age mate 😀

Loving the way McIlroy and Fleetwood are just going about their business. Not showing any emotion or doing anything that would whip up the crowd.

look to have two in the bag and if we come out evens in the other two, it will be a good morning session. Interesting to see if and what changes are made for the fourball. Think Rose will come in.

Agreed. Donald will try and get everyone a game under their belt today.

Scheffler doesn't like foursomes, but you wouldn't want to play him in four balls.

Great morning for the Europeans. Let's hope they can at least tie the US this afternoon and go into tomorrow with a two point lead.

Just in from a day's work on my bowling green, can't believe how well it's gone.
And I will confess to laughing aloud at Schauffele's tee shot at 15, which has just disturbed Corporate lunches.

In fact I'll go as far to say that IMHO landing in someone's glass of Chardonnay should be classed as an internal OB. If the Colonials get out of this hole with a half they've had the break of the day.

The way they have set up the hospitality, particularly over the last 4 holes, means things could get somewhat feisty in any match that goes that far. Saw a small glimpse of that on 17 with Bobby Mac

Disappointing end to the Macintyre / Hovland match. Having got back to all square from being 3 down, they then gifted the last 2 holes to the yanks.
I expect those 2 to have a rest this afternoon.

Afternoon matches:
Spaun& Scheffler vs Rahm & Straka
Griffin & De Chambeau vs Fleetwood & Rose
Young & Thomas vs Åberg and Hojgaard
Burns and Cantlay vs McIlroy and Lowry ( what a crackerjack this one will be)

Yes Bob had a total meltdown, partly induced by the usual American gobshites taunting him on his backswing.

I really didn't think you could get so many Grade A bell ends in one place at one time.

Yanks vanish when they are losing but get worse by the minute when on top. This will get really ugly in the afternoons if they gain any momentum. Absolute gob shite morons with a CinC to suit

Should have been sharper but just noticed McIlroy is up against Cantlay.
Could we have a repeat of the LaCava/ McIlroy shenanigans from Marco Simone on 2023?
