Looks like he could take over my blog next year.
Tim,That was a great read
As I have said on the pod I was the calmest I’ve ever been at a playoff final because I knew that whatever the outcome the club is going in the right direction
I more than most know what a mess our club was in when the CAR was appointed in Feb 19
The turnaround since is incredible and despite his modesty down in the main to one man who clearly has lived and breathed as well as funded every improvement to BFC - a feat which is all the more incredible when you bear in mind that he was at the same time operating his very successful business on the other side of the world
Personally I’d thought we’d have been looking at at least five years ‘ to turn around the oil tanker ‘ as it needed so much attention just to make it function as a normal club as behind the rusting facade everything was crumbling
The fact that the BFC oil tanker has not just been turned it around but also secured promotion so quickly is a phenomenal achievement
Interesting that Simon picked up on the connect point as again it’s something we’ve discussed on the pod - how weird it was to feel that connect when you’ve not seen a majority of the players play. Getting to watch them twice and to see in the flesh how great a team this is was very special ( though not good for the voice ) and I now can’t wait to get back to Bloomfield Rd next season to let them all see what an atmosphere 10K + can make
Time for all supporters to lend their financial and vocal support for the rebirth of BFC
We are experiencing what I’d christened ‘ a Tangerine Renaissance ‘ and that’s down to what Michael Bolingbroke once described as our unicorn - Simon Sadler
As a fan base we fought long and hard for this
Time now to enjoy the fruits of victory
And one of our ownExcellent. Fantastic chairman and comes across as a genuine nice guy.
