Tapas after the game. Apparently.Guessing the boys aren't going Spain this year.
It's all a balance. There will be reasons for picking the level of opposition we play.Another underwhelming set of pre-season friendlies.
I'm not too bothered about watching any pre-season friendlies (would have gone to Everton away though)Another underwhelming set of pre-season friendlies.
On a rainy day they cover them with Tesco bags.Highlight for me while driving to the ground for one of the Saturday friendlies was spotting the amount of Hasidic Jews about, many wearing the very noticable shtreimel hat.
absolutely. my first comment to my mate was hope it’s not as hot as last time, it was melting!Went there few years ago and it was sweltering. Was a night game aswell.

In fairness improved massively from when they first started making the 'Class of 92' doco and is a nice 'old school' ground.Think I will go just because it’s a new ground for me
Quickest way is to phone Salford up Monday morning and ask if it's POG I've done it in the past for away friendlies.Does anyone know whether this will be a pay on the gate game? It's not mentioned on the club website for this or any other friendlies. Slightly begrudge having to pay the extra 'service' fee in advance for a pre season game that's right on my doorstep.
I reckon the old Pay of the Day will be non existent in 2/3 years time - went in two coffee shops today neither of which would take cash.Does anyone know whether this will be a pay on the gate game? I don't think POTG specifies that cash is needed - it's just an option to pay on the day..I reckon the old Pay of the Day will be non existent in 2/3 years time - went in two coffee shops today neither of which would take cash.
Because the banks have dictated that we will pay with card. Hence, closing down most establishments to make it almost impossible for any of us to use cash.I reckon the old Pay of the Day will be non existent in 2/3 years time - went in two coffee shops today neither of which would take cash.
Drink your coffee, eat your food and when the bill arrives tell them you can't get a credit card and only carry cash.I reckon the old Pay of the Day will be non existent in 2/3 years time - went in two coffee shops today neither of which would take cash.
I think one away friendly against a decent club as a treat to the fans for a good day out and build some atmosphere isn’t asking to much, I remember Blackburn a couple of years ago played Celtic away.I don't know what people want . Do they want a preseason where we win most of our games and possibly build our confidence or arrange a match with a top prem club that will use a load of reserves and kids and probably beat us. The friendlies are exactly what they say they are and are used only to build the team and test them.
Some smaller businesses now prefer cash for smaller sales to avoid the rising transaction costs of electronic payments. My local butchers, Chinese takeaway, and bowling club are just three in my village.I reckon the old Pay of the Day will be non existent in 2/3 years time - went in two coffee shops today neither of which would take cash.
Debit card fees are capped at 0.35% in the UK. If those businesses are relying on 1/3 of 1% margin to keep them going, they won't be around long anyway. I'd suggest it's more likely to do with declaring tax...Some smaller businesses now prefer cash for smaller sales to avoid the rising transaction costs of electronic payments. Unless you are talking about a Manchester or Liverpool club then I don't think too many are going to travel for an away game. Also if that's the case I still can't see there being that good an atmosphere at a Prem ground although Everton's new ground may attract a few.I think one away friendly against a decent club as a treat to the fans for a good day out and build some atmosphere isn’t asking to much, I remember Blackburn a couple of years ago played Celtic away.
Was in Greggs when their electronic devices went down and they were saying ‘pay us when you are next in’! Wonder how many did!!Drink your coffee, eat your food and when the bill arrives tell them you can't get a credit card and only carry cash.

Better to be the whipping boys of a PL team than getting whipped by Fleetwood Town. It's all a balance. There will be reasons for picking the level of opposition we play.
I dont see any point in being whipping boys for PL or European clubs.
Also think how much money is saved by not travelling although I don't think an overseas training camp has been ruled out.
