Say goodbye

Let’s hope we get better players when they leave. We may go up then
Nothing wrong with any of these players, as all 5 are capable of playing in the championship.
The head coach has to accept responsibility for a failed season, the same as the head coach would accept the plaudits for a successful one.
On an overly generous 4 year contract, NC isn't going anywhere, nor are we with with his signings, selections, tactics & use of substitutions.

Gabriel isn’t
Each to their own but ......
JG clearly is a championship player - if he's played in the right position, in the right team setup.
He's been mishandled and badly treated & IF the rumours are true, NC has undermined him in front of the squad & demotivated him.
He'll give you 100%, is athletic, never backs out of a tackle, good going forward (he created our bazaar second goal yesterday by chasing a lost cause) & is good in the air. He's had a couple of serious injuries, but all players with his commitment risk getting those.
IF he leaves, we'll get a good fee for him but I doubt we'll recruit a better attacking right back.

Yes I think he's one of our better tacklers, and in a back 4 he's a championship level RB (just my opinion). He just isn't a RWB, he's better as support/overlap for a right winger in my view.

However he is rather injury prone, and it's not just his good tackling. We lost several months of him to injury from a kitchen stool a year or so ago.

I don’t know anything about Critch undermining him, but if we did sell him I don't think we'd recover our original cost

Hope we can keep him. A very good player as you say.

Bowler, Yates, Anderson were good for us but none are regulars for their clubs now. As they were better than what we have what makes those above proven Championship players. I do think Gabriel will play higher than Division I as long as he stays fit.

My main worry is that we have a poor start to next season. If we don't win our first few games and are up in the top 6 from the off then Bloomfield Road with turn toxic really quickly. Unless we have an amazing summer transfer window that inspires some serious optimisim for the season, I feel like we will be starting the season on the back foot regarding the atmosphere because so many fans aren't happy with Critchley. Losing thoes 5 players will do no help in that regard.

To grimmy marv Gabriel Byers kaddy. 5 of our best players.
Last summer we waved goodbye to Jerry, Bowler, Keshi, Rogers, Patino, Fiorini.

And this season we signed Dembele, Rhodes, Byers, Coulson etc.

Every club in the EFL uses the loan market to get better quality players than they can sign. It's how it is. We'll sign some more in July/August/January.
