Schmeichel

Not got that sheer, intimidating physical presence that his dad had (partly ‘cause the average player is a bit taller now) but still a hell of a keep in his own right. Doesn’t traumatise his own defenders as much but just as good a shot-stopper

He made a hash of a cross against us in last minute resulting in a penalty.
Ince equalised to make it 2-2.

Think Vardy did his penalty dive act beforehand.

Nowhere near as good as his dad.

But he's a good keeper. An vastly improved keeper. There was a question mark over him making it early doors as he did a tour of the lower leagues and Falkirk on loan.

Was a brilliant save yesterday.

he's a great keeper. Is he as good as his dad? Probably not. I wonder sometimes if being the son of Peter held him back in some sort of way because he's under-rated in the extent that I reckon he's good enough to play in any of the supposed big teams and it surprises me that none of them ever came in for him.

Had him at Dirty for a season and he was distinctly average, but had some unfair stick early on from some quarters.
Attended a fans meeting in Preston and took it in good heart, but clearly close to his dad and trying to emulate Peters career.

Good to see him winning things and enjoying his football

True leader. You also have to be impressed by any child of a rich and succesful person that still comes through when they could arguably just have had it easy.
I see what you're saying and obviously they are comparisons with Paul Dalglish 😄

He’s been very loyal to Leicester City and probably could have left a few years back and joined any number of top European teams and been their no.1. He probably would have earned a hell of a lot more money and won more trophies too. So credit to the lad for sticking with his club.
That's nonsense and the same applies for Vardy. Leicester are one of the biggest payers in football. Oh and can you name any of the so called bigger teams that have tried to sign him? They haven't.

I didn’t realise you were a super agent !

Unlike your good self I don’t know the ins and outs of Leicester’s wage structure and again I’m not a close friend of Ed Woodward or any of the scouts at Man City either.

What I do know is he has been consistently very good for a number of years, has performed excellently for Denmark and a number of clubs have been in need of a decent and consistent GK in that time (not to mention a leader and a captain).

Chances are he’s not at Leicester and their captain because no one else wants him but because he’s chosen to remain there. Good players are always in demand and he’s a very good player.

Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Juventus and both Milan Clubs have all been in the market for GK’s over the last few years - all of which can likely pay bigger money than Leicester City. If he had been available and willing to move I’m fairly sure one of the big boys would have snapped him up. Why wouldn’t they ?!

Ederson, Allison, and maybe De Gea and Lloris aside... who’s a better GK in the prem right now ? In Europe you’ve got Neur, Buffon and Oblak. There’s not many better GK’s out there and those that typically have been top keepers (Courtois, De Gea, Kepa and Donnaruma) haven’t exactly been consistent.
