Hi lads can anyone answer me are iFollow match passes always included with a Season Ticket?

living in Ireland especially where i am and not Dublin it takes about 7/8 hours for me to get to Blackpool depending on where i fly from

if ifollow isn’t included maybe a different Season Ticket option for Overseas fans who aren’t as lucky as the local Seasiders who get to every home game, either a different type of ST as in one with ifollow but gives u an option to select attend a game or view on ifollow instead

It costs me more usually to get to one game then it does for a season ticket

I think the inclusion of IFollow this season is a one off mate, obviously because of the closure of ground to fans.
I think you can buy a season pass on IFollow for around a hundred quid, though I'm happy to be corrected.

The EFL normally have a rule that matches can't be streamed live (legally) between 3.00pm and 5.00pm to avoid the detrimental impact on gates. We'll have to see, but I would imagine that if we're back to something like normality, then we'll revert to midweek games only on ifollow.

Could you not even watch away games live Wiz?

Even midweek would be great, id just attend Saturday games then 🍊🍊

iFollow is originally a service for overseas fans (mainly expats), I reckon you could definitely get a subscription being from Ireland? You'd have access to every single game with a season pass

Obviously it depends on your situation, would it be worth it if you're over for loads of games say

EFL did a survery recently and had these sort of questions as part of that....things might change next year to allow more access to ifollow i reckon

Don’t know if you can get ifollow in Ireland without a VPN but that’s always an option. That is under normal circumstances.

Saturday 3pm ifollow matches were not available in UK and Rep Ireland under the old rules which I assume they will revert back to once fans are allowed back into stadiums.
However there are ways around this.

That deprive the club of income

Given the crapola quality of ifollow I can’t see why they can’t open it up to all games next season.
There is a law in football in the Uk, that blocks all league games and England games being televised in the UK between 3pm and 5.15pm on a Saturday.

Obviously this has been suspended for COVID.

Does ifollow count as televised though, I wonder?

Surely thats if a full capacity is allowed and not a certain percentage of the ground

Yes it does, as it is broadcast - and the platform is irrelevant.

Although we all know a VPN gets round
It.

They probably need to look at the whole thing after this and modernise the policies.

Yes I think so. I just don’t think it would put people off from the match day experience and would probably add to revenue than reduce it.

The first thing they (EFL) should do is accept a VPN gets round any problems for a fan wanting to watch any game so therefore the approach should be how to make the most of it.

I would have a full home iF,ST bought like a normal ST and only available in this form. No one off games. This would give domestic exiles as well as those abroad chance to feel part of the Club (and buy from the shop as a result) and just as importantly fans on the Fylde who can't attend games a chance to join in. Normal STH's won't buy the iFST. Revenue to the Club goes up.

For away games proof of a ST or a BFC iF should allow purchase. All money to go to the away Club- you'd expect that to result in an increase in revenue for them and has a neutral BFC impact.

there are ways, but do they care enough?

Would the club be able to do any of that?
Ifollow is owned by the EFL and they get a cut of every game so whatever changes as we play in their competition would have to come from them.

The EFL have just done a survey and judging by the questions they are looking at changes to it in many ways.

I’m not saying free I’m saying bought using a VPN.
Wow a massive 140 quid a season for 46 league games and the odd cup one still defrauding the club whatever way you look at it.

No stream=no dodgy way round including free on IPTV.
Get rid only way should be in the ground to watch Lge 1 football then radio commentary only.

The club get £8, EFL 2, rather 80% of profits after VAT and costs.

tbh, it's a win win for the EFL and the Club. And doing it legal means people can do it with a clear mind rather than have no option but to VPN it.

My point exactly. The EFL need to accept there has to be an alternative to VPN use which gives £0.
VPN gives the club £140 as you trick them to think you live abroad if you want to pay.
IPTV gives them nothing and I'm sorry the clear mind is a red herring plenty don't give a toss.

£8 is nothing compared to what a typical household would spend going to a game and if they are a bit strapped for cash wouldn't pay anyway.

You watch attendances drop if you allow iFollow for every game.

Yep. Get you. Didn't realise you can do a 140st for iFollow. Perhaps they should post the access code for the season?

However, not every typical household can physically access the games.

How is it defrauding the club? It’s the cost EFL set.
