Season tickets and match prices for next season

Would like to see them released during the next couple of weeks whilst football is still fresh in the minds

Season ticket prices should be frozen as a minimum with a few new incentives

● 18-21 year old price point at a reduced price - £200 quid or so
● Heineken lounge season ticket price point similar to the West Stand price to try and get a few more lads in the South (maybe use the South East corner)
● East Stand (North) season ticket at a discounted price to due limited facilities
● The ability for people to pay monthly without any price increase
● Longer early bird period

Match day tickets should also be released around the same time and the Category price point to be re thought out to only include local derby games

I would also like to see a membership scheme for those who can't commit to season tickets for a small annual fee, say £20 or so a year that gives discounted match day prices thus getting round the away price anomaly

I think it would also be useful for the club to make a policy on away ticket priority, something along these lines

○ Band A - Season ticket holder for 3 seasons and say 10 away game proof
○ Band B - Away ticket proof of 10 games (non season ticket holders) and Season ticket holders of 3 years with 5 away game proof
○ Band C - All season ticket holders plus any non season ticket holders with 5 games proof

Then general sale as its been a bit of a faff this season with loads of restrictions

Just my opinions but i hope the club are thinking a bit more this season on maximising our stadium capacity as it was all a bit lazy last season with empty seats at virtually every home game

Utp ...

I can agree with a lot of that.

I'd love to see a Carnet type season ticket; say 15 games at ST prices, pick a seat(s) which are free on any given match.

Be useful for those of us who live away and can't commit to every game. I do about an even split between home and away due to work etc - and I recognise that I don't put money into the club by travelling.

I think its important that the club recognises the non season ticket holders more

We have a lot of exiles who can't commit to a season ticket and to be honest they are treated no better than away fans with category prices

Totally agree apart form i think it should be ST holders for 2 years as only 4k were allowed during covid.

So for me change that to 2 and do what you said.

Also it is indeed vitally important to fill more of the stadium.

That north east section is the best way as fans want to be near the north and it has the atmosphere to draw them in.

The membership gets around the away prices.

Cheaper tickets for young adults helps too.

Yep agree with it, time to build the fanbase and allow us to maximise for the bigger games.

We know what to do, we can simply keep away fans behind and fill our own section, no need for silly segregation.

The police showed it is indeed possible to keep them behind so the NE should be fully utilised.

Yep fair point that on the banding

The North sells out virtually every game so having a North East at a reduced price is a no brainer for me

Also during the Premier we had big clubs in the East with home fans next to them so i really don't understand why not now

I am led to believe that a lot of thought is being given to the configuration of the East although clearly it would be foolish to spend too much money on it. I'll be interested to see what the clever people come up with.

Lets hope common sense

We don't need a BST survey for that

Agree with a lot being said but North East is now a problem for home fans due to exit for away fans since PKE match.

I would also like the club to help towards away travel with ST/Membership scheme(not a fiver like the Cods do) for coaches.

Petrol going through the roof and trying to limit car journeys(good for the environment)to some kind of subsidy would help.

It shouldn't be as we managed well enough in the Premier lg season just seems like a convenient excuse to me
I don't think we had the SW corner open in the PL season. That's an added complication.
Going back to early bird ST prices, I only think they are relevant if you sell them "early". We haven't. So let's just have a "fair" and fixed price.
I know the Club need money throughout May, June and July so there is that balance. Just a thought.

Ok in that case release them early like now

Maybe for the odd game where we get a big allocation like Blackburn or a long distance special game like Bristol City (first game of the season)

But generally our away support has been good this season

Probably the best average since the Prem season i would have thought

Then we have things like the increased on the day walk on price, if we want to maximise crowds that, the cat system, new fan initiatives etc need looking at.

Maybe if your a brand new fan you get some sort of discount.

Or maybe the east reduced prices cover some of that too.

Yep all good ideas

Match day sales have been low, i think we have only sold out one match this season so the proof is in the pudding

Agree with that especially the price freeze & really think they should do an interest free option via the Club for ST holders. I think it use to be over 6 months… this year was only available with finance company at additional cost.

Even if they did it over 3 months… they could do end of May, end of June and end of July or into August and by the time the season started if it wasn’t paid up your ST wouldn’t be activated. Giving fans the option to spread the payments at the same price is a big thing. We need to make it easier for fans to commit to an ST.

18-21 is also a big market we need to jump on, I’m not sure the Club do though and seemingly associate that age range with troublemakers- pyros etc.

The East needs sorting so away fans can be in the North end. It makes the atmosphere even better and means there’s no exit issues. Portaloos and burger stands, simple?

To be fair to the club i think they took their guidance from the ridiculous BST member survey that Basil Robbie came up with

Asking 800 or so middle aged existing season ticket holders about prices wasn't really the smartest thing to do in hindsight

It’s a good point. If you surveyed the North on prices and the West you would get completely different results. That’s not me being funny it’s a totally different mix and outlook.

I especially love the people who say “if ST’s were £1,000 I would pay it to support Simon Sadler”… like some superhero. Boring hell.

This is a big chance for the Club to maximise a decent season and the atmosphere in the Ground with a bit of forward thinking.

Avoid surveying the well off who aren’t struggling financially and specifically target late teens and people who need a decent monthly package to commit to an ST.

Yep completely agree mate

But when you say things like that you always get hit by the clique

For me our crowds have been ok and the season ticket prices were again ok

Not great given its the first full season back at Championship level and Oyston free

I was honestly expecting more sell outs

The walk up/match day sales however have been abysmal and more needs to be done to increase our fanbase and maximise our relatively low capacity

One sell out this season isn't great when you think of it

I think you release ST prices ultra early and cheap if you think you are going down. It's vica versa if you are still toying with promotion. We know where we will be so I agree get them on sale.
Yep we know we are Championship so get them on sale

Now a perfect time after our biggest win in decades

A lot of thought has to go into all the pricing this season more than any other and not only at our football club. With the cost of living rising every week and heating bills set to hit 4k from next October justifying buying a season ticket paying best part of £30 for a 90 minute football match is a major consideration.
The DD over 12 months for a ST sounds an excellent way of spreading the cost and other methods like 4 match bundles ect needed.
Will be a bit naughty on a freezing cold November Tuesday evening to turn around to the wife and tell her not to put the heating on because we can't afford it whilst I swan off to the match.

Yep you raise a good point about the cost of living increases

Lets hope the club recognises that in the pricing structure

The prem could always just filter more money down the tree to help out clubs. I won’t hold my breath.

Agree with the walk up/match day comment we must be losing a lot of money because of that. All this purchase history nonsense.

It's the best way to utilise capacity, although I'd probably rather see home fans in there, purely for the atmosphere and as mentioned its the biggest draw for new fans to be near the north stand.

Imagine another 2k+ fans in the NE, plus when we get a NE corner too and another 1k there. The atmosphere in the north is already great but fill the NE and when it's bouncing it'll sound epic.

Of course there's the live match TV money. How many times have QPR, Huddersfield, and others been on?
If Sky are going to just show QPR because it's not far to travel then I think a new formula needs looking at.
