Seeing as we appear to be starting formal interviews this week

Who will be the BAME candidate? Don’t agree with it personally but rules are rules someone has to be interviewed. Think the Guvnor Paul Ince would be justified in throwing his hat in the ring, unfinished business and all that. Think he got a raw deal when he was here before and people quickly forget his run of wins were in the Championship.
If not the Guvnor then why not big Sol Campbell. I know he wouldn’t be a particularly popular appointment but his record is quite good and he’s never had any backing. Even Southend’s youth team he brought here a few weeks back looked like they’d been coached and had a method of play which was quite attractive on the eye.
 
I'd be happy to see Sol. The Macclesfield he brought here early on this season was a good watch so you know he has a certain mindset how he wants his team to play.
 
We actually had our best ever start to a league season under Ince. Didn't take long for everything to fall apart however, and we could only just about tolerate the negative style and tactics while we were winning! 😆 ...he had to go in the end I think. Shame Koko dropped the axe on Thommo at the same time though
 
I've said before on the other board that we should start 'The Mighty Pool Tangerine Dynasty,' and who better than people involved in our Premiership and Championship years.
I would ask for permission to ask Steve Thompson, a big Blackpool fan, to be our manager, and ask Barrow the same for Ian Evatt to be his no.2.
We desperately need a leader on the pitch, and I can't think of anyone better than Charlie Adam as player/coach and captain next season. Brett Ormerod and Gary Taylor Fletcher could join Steve Banks as coaches. It would be a huge boost for BFC, and reassure fans of a positive future.
 
While you're at it ask Paul Hart, Mike Davis, Steve Morgan, Andy Morrell in fact anyone who has had a connection to Blackpool in the past as that's the criteria for working at BFC.
In fact if they're black so much the better as it covers more bases 🙄🤦‍♂️

edit; looked it up and understand. But surely if a BAME candidate doesn’t apply there’s not a lot you can do..

If I had an interview only because I was white, to tick a box, knowing they didnt want me on merit and were being forced to, I'd feel ridiculous and it must be quite demeaning.

I'd want the job on merit. It should be the best person regardless.
