what a shame it’s not the announcement that the managerial poomaster has resigned or been sacked.
 
Well that's me leaving radio 2, as well. Never really got over them shifting Sounds of 60s to early in the morning and putting in that jackass Tony Blackburn as presenter.
 
Thank goodness he'll still doing a daily show.
I'm quite a fan, as you can see...

Brian Matthew presented the show at a more sociable time on Saturday mornings, was part of the pre match ritual listening to the obscure groups etc. Hope Ken Bruce's replacement is not another of the current trend aimed at the 90's/00 crowd.

Brian Mathew chose to retire though as he was very ill, he did shortly after he finished broadcasting. But your right it used to be 7-9
