Short term thinking in modern football

It's quite bizarre nowadays how so many vital decisions seem to be based on short term thinking in the world of football.

It's less than 12 months since Oxford fans were wanting rid of Karl Robinson. See the comments beneath this article -


I know they are doing well this season and played attractive football at Bloomfield Road but I struggle to get used to this short memory thinking where someone can go from useless to highly in demand in a matter of months and then often back to being useless again a few months later.

Whoever we appoint, I hope we don't lose sight of the long term aims of our club.
 
Good article to refer to that one BHOK - big appointment coming up and no need to rush it. Whoever they interview has to have the long term wins of our club and that is crucial.
