Sack him off. We need enthusiasm in the team so how could we get that with a new manager whose heart is only half in it??
 
How on earth and why start abuse , nobody knows anything about who the new manager is unless its official, until then everything else is purely speculation, calm down and chill out people
 
What does Matt Scrafton do all day? I thought he was a football journalist and might have done a bit of digging and come up with something. I’m in sales and like a dog with a bone when I get a lead or a sniff. I guess he has had neither and doesn’t have the right connections.

Rekt, I have heard the same. I'm not claiming to be ITK before anyone has a go, it's just what I've been told by someone.

Don't forget that SS has a full-time job abroad and the major driver for the appointment of Mansford et al (aside from making the club more professional) is that SS simply doesn't have the time to do everything on a day-to-day basis.

Whilst in principle I don’t have a problem with waiting for the man you want. To give him a deadline not hear back and then still be hoping for him to commit is ridiculous.

we’ve interviewed three other duffers, which again in my opinion is ridiculous.

Very amateurish from what Iv been told, and as you say Rossendale SS has delegated this to trusted pair of hands.
That pair of hands may have been away a little too long and it’s taking time to recalibrate with lower league English football.
I hope he turns this around as I think he’s a smart guy BM. But so far his has been a shambles.
 
Would think the Blackpool job is an very attractive propersition now in league 1. If you backed yourself and got it right, then promotion should be a peice of piss, the way things are now set up nicely, not like during the clusterfuck it became under the previous regime.

if you look at who we’ve interviewed bar Jones, Hecky and Hurst they were relevant 2-3 years ago. Right when BM left these shores.

We need to start again with all this.

Hmmm, interesting. Wonder if Sadler will step in and make a play for Evatt...

Everyone says it's not happening but right now no one seems to be happening.
 
If Jones is the number 1 target and he's stalling give him a deadline for an answer and move on.
This seasons a write off we won't go down and we won't be going up,it's not going to make much difference if we appoint somebody this week or next,i'd prefer us to take our time and approach it the correct way.
 
If I were Jones, my focus would be on sorting some kind of severance with Stoke and checking out the area I may be moving to.

That might take a bit of time to sort...

That said, I’d have at least expected him to get back in touch (if some kind of deadline had been agreed) and request more time to sort.

Also keep in mind they've been talking to him for a good week before SG was booted...……allegedly 😉.

I would be happy with Jones, but think we're making our selves look like Charlies by having no leverage through other options, which it appears he is exploiting a bit. Which he rightly should do if it gets him a larger wedge from us.

Do managers have that sort of power? Not sure they do anymore. There must be reasons why Jones hasn't been appointed and more points towards him rejecting the job offer.

They do if you've only interviewed two duffers you had no intention of appointing.

I haven't been told he's rejected the job, just that the club were still waiting for his decision despite giving him a deadline, my information is on a time delay of a day or two though so things could have progressed.

But I talk bollocks eh Kurt so no point listening to me.
