Should the club engage with AVFTT

Come on, we all know someone from the club will be on here secretly.

We should play the game guess who's who, Sadler on here? Mansford etc.

Someone told me that Sadler is here and I can't remember the username, but I do remember it starting with numbers, 62.

I'm Sadler!

History time:
Back in the 90s, there wasn't any of this organised dialogue stuff. There were two fans groups - the Supporters club and BASIL.
In the early days of t'internet, we had an email discussion list. Relations with the owners were strained. The supporters club had fallen out and renamed itself BISA. Radio Lancs was barred. Somebody 😉 parked a tangerine sierra outside the ground. So the mailing list got together and we arranged a meeting with Karl. We decided on four people, specifically chosen to represent a variety of opinions, and we had a meeting in the boardroom in the old south stand. Then we went down to the Yeadon Way pub and Karl bought a round (don't know why I remember that bit). Upshot was that Karl fed us a load of bull, I went back to the next BISA meeting at the No.1 club, and passed it on, and a full scale boycott was averted. I regret it to this day.

The mailing list morphed into a message board which eventually became AVFTT. BISA dropped the "I" to get more dialog, and sold its soul.

We are fortunate now to have several official groups that have a proper structure. BST was set up in accordance with the Football Supporters Association rules. It is fundamentally democratic and is by far the best way to get fan representation. I have an uneasiness about localised groups like Yorkshire Seasiders having any input - no disrespect, but it doesn't feel like an open group that anyone can join, as it's geographic, so can't really be representative. BST is run by people who care, who have put the interests of Blackpool FC above everything. Many have sacrificed a lot. Nobody is perfect, but they're as close as we're going to get. I suggest if anyone wants to get involved in having a say, that's the best route to go down.
