Looks like they are not going to move the away fans anymore to the East-North section so is it time for a move?
Would have made Tuesday even better being next to the Bolton fans.

Plenty of pros and cons-
+Better atmosphere next to away fans -Potential of trouble
+Bigger Concourse -Doesn't have a smoking area unlike the North
And plenty more to add.
Thoughts?

Just think sometimes the atmosphere goes a bit flat with smaller away followings and it would beef it up if we were next to them.

Sunderland forum

Don't think it's sold out yet even the SLO doesn't know some cracking posts on their forum they are coming to party!

Quote-Going for weekend, beer, strippers, kebabs, football and a game of prize bingo. The stuff of dreams. 😀

Didn't the MSG voice their concerns earlier in the season about the away fans being next to the North and threatened to move south?

There are plenty of in the North that are not part of the MSG who we help create the atmosphere and won’t be moving to the South. We created some excellent atmosphere before the MSG were ever thought of. When the ground had just three sides plenty of managers commented on the intimidating atmosphere the fans created. At that time no single group took credit for it, partly because it would be absurd and pretentious to do so. People should go where they like but given the numerous intrusions on to the pitch we have already had and the increased likelihood of conflict that proximity could promote, the club might well be advised to keep some distance between away supporters and our ultras. if they. Are closer together it is certain that the polce/security costs will be much more substantiall.

Let’s sort one thing out the MSG are not hoolies - yes some members were part of the original muckers but there is a hell of a lot that weren’t (in fact the majority). They just like providing a cracking atmosphere, it is 100% better than previous seasons but not better than the “shrooms created, allegedly

As said in another thread maybe moving away fans closer will allow banter to be had from the north and then there is little need to run onto the pitch to be closer to them as you can mock them easily and see faces etc. Maybe it would improve pitch issues?

But that's the point of my o/p the promise at the start of the season that away fans would be housed next to the North some point.
Contractors where brought in to price for toilets and a bar area that got shelved, then there was talk of a whole new stand can't see that happening soon.
So next season if we stay in the North away fans will be at the other end of the stadium again.

If we are all staying in the North then so be it.👍

I'm staying but want everyone to stay as it's still the place to be. But hopefully they will move them when ready. But was just saying it may actually help with some issues....maybe.

No my Dad and his pensioner mates wouldn’t like it. It’s embarrassing how loud they mutter about people standing up. Even told me off on Tuesday

fook fo back to the South so I can have my seat back in the sun. Too noisy nowadays especially with them bangers. Give me smoke bombs any day. Leave the away fans were they are I like the new smoking point. Gets me away from the drugs in the concourse.

Oh dear.......somones a bit salty

Stay where you are, it sounds great from the South and we do often join in. The South is a great place without any standing up and falling out with all and sundry.👍

If you think about it , the idea that the club should move away fans so that they can be more easily abused by home fans is unbelievable really .

It's not official they just open the side gate at half time turnstile 1&2 which you leave the ground and let you go out and have a fag.

Seemed like many smokers didn't bother going outside when I headed over to the North on Tuesday.

It's actually quite interesting the difference in the two stands. Under the South is bright and clean, with plenty of space. Under the North is not.

Still. Love the atmosphere in the North hence my half time manoeuvres, but I wouldn't take my kids there. So I'll stick with my South season ticket and continue to keep trying to get the atmosphere going there.
