Should the season be extended to the end of May.

I think that we may move above 2 games a week being required with the cancellations in matches which could be unrealistic. Nearly 20% of L1 and L2 games fell foul of Covid this last weekend and we have not yet had matches lost to weather.
We all need to finish playing on the same weekend so promotion and relegation are decided on the pitch rather than contrived results. Playoffs would then have to be early June.

If you look at the fixtures and the current table, teams are only a couple of games behind where they should be. There are a lot of free midweeks coming up and no FA Cup replays. The EFL Trophy could even be played with a youth/academy side rather than block up the fixtures (or even scrapped altogether - no great loss). I think for the reputation of the league, the EFL will want this one finishing.

I have said this on another thread, if we have a bad winter with more cancelled games, they will have to find a way to extend the season. Cannot expect clubs to play 3 games a week, as for the internationals just like the premiership clubs when it comes to things like the African Nations tournament clubs will have to carry on without these players.

Genuine question:
How many players in the division actually play for nations that have qualified for the Euros? Would extending the season actually have that significant of an impact on teams squads due to the Euros?

I've just had a quick look and we have 12 free midweek dates ish.... so unless football stops then it shouldn't be a issue. But guess the next few wks are key with covid spread etc.

Just hope we can get this vaccine done as timely as ever... through the night... just get jabbing guys
