There's so much change that it makes us vulnerable to a Southend side that is slowly getting its act together, I fear? Every department of our team is getting to know each other. We needed tweaking surely, rather than wholesale rip it up and start again. Which could wait til summer?

This is the team to play. No other 11 should be on the pitch. Bar Nuttal for Gnando, no idea what thought process there is behind Nuttall ahead of anyone.

Gnads & Madine up top for me, we need to start banging in more than 1 a game, with our defence being a bit iffy atm

I think there's a player in Nuttall (hopefully a goal will change everything) - a lot better player than Gnando as I've never rated him.

Nuttall next to an intelligent Madine could work IMO.
It's not really factually true though is it? One has scored copious amounts of goals in a team that creates nothing. One has had more than enough time.

I wouldn't agree that Nuttall has had more than enough time, he's come on for the last 5/10 minutes in matches and chasing lost causes. When he's started matches it tends to be either with a load of fringe players in the FL Trophy thing or away at sides such as Ipswich when we are under the cosh most of the game.

I didn't state anything was facts mate, i said 'i think' and 'in my opinion'.

Genuinely do not see what people see in Gnando and i think more and more people who watch him are seeing him for the average player he is. As we continue to improve the squad (if he were to sign a new deal) he'll quickly find himself down the pecking order.

People see goals? I don’t see how it isn’t clear? Michael Owen was technically a garbage footballer. He scored lots and lots of goals. You don’t have to see anything in him. Nuttall hasn’t scored. Doesn’t look like scoring. Hasn’t made an impact in any single game so far. So what justifies more game time?

Michael Owen was technically garbage?? ARE YOU OK?

He literally won the Ballon D'or.. do you know what that award is for? 😭

This is why i won't be taking your opinion seriously any longer.

Nuttall everyday over gnando for me. Although I still think we needed more pace and another forward in to partner madine.

Michael Owen, being technically garbage - seriously??? In fairness he only played for Liverpool, United and Real Madrid - what a donkey!

Depends whose fit with Kaikai, Edwards and Husband recently being out. So assuming they still are, i'd go for...

Maxwell

Feeney
Moore
Heneghan
Thorniley
Bola

Spearing
Ronan
Dewsbury-Hall

Madine
Gnanduillet

Bench: Sims, Howe, Macdonald, Ward, Virtue, Delfounseo, Nuttall

You know what I was getting on about, Michael Owen wasn't going to defend a corner or do anything out of scoring goals. So my point was, if you're expected to score goals. You score goals there isnt a need for you to see anything other than the goals that are scored.

You chose Nuttall ahead of someone that scored 16 more goals than him. You already lost an opinion.

BFC95. I think Howe may replace Feeney in your team.
IF Husband and Kaikai are fit they could come in instead of Thorniley and Gnanduillet.

This is the guy who was voted as the best player in the world by his fellow colleagues... and you say he was technically garbage.
Their opinions must have been wrong though and yours correct... same with your gnando shout 😩😂

We have quite a few options now, which is always a good thing.

I have a feeling that Grayson will be tempted to start Nuttall alongside Madine. It's a home game against a team near the bottom, and he'll be thinking it's a chance to score a goal and get his confidence up. Plus I don't think Gnanduillet has played that we'll recently despite being top scorer (although who has played well?!).

We're still desperately in need of pace in the final third. As we don't have it, we need to get midfielders beyond the defence. The two new boys I don't think will be those kind of players, but maybe someone who went to Oxford can give a view on that? Virtue definitely does try to make runs beyond the defence, and I wonder whether Larry might be tempted to start him too.

So I'm going to go for:

Maxwell
Bola
Howe
Moore
Heneghan
Thorniley
Spearing
Virtue
Dewsbury-Hall
Madine
Nuttall

If KaiKai was fit I'd probably have him in for Nuttall. I think that side would have a decent balance to it. There's some good players in there, and indeed the squad, it's just a case of finding the right combination.

I agree too many changes in defence & we could be all over the place.

Maxwell

Howe
Moore
Henegan
Thornily
Bola

Ronan
Virtue
Dewsbury Hall

Maxine
Fonz

Long time can of Spearing but he is no longer bossing it and Virtue brings more energy.
5-3-2 deals with our left sided problems.

Howard
Turton Heneghan Moore Husband
Spearing
Dews-Hall Ronan Bola
Somebody-Else Madine

No idea who to partner with Madine. Play him in the centre of a front 3? Not sure who to play wide though? If Fonz is the answer, the question is a convoluted one.

Turdton should be nowhere near the team - what does he offer?

Continuity! Stable defensive partnerships. Change everything at once, lose to Southend. Calling him Turdton is pretty shit. And also wrong IMO. Not the future, but he's a steady player who has served us well.

It's a difficult one, for a defensive manager such as Grayson; the defence is bloody terrible and that's alarming. When we appointed him i was expecting steady (boring) 1-0 wins, but we can't even manage that.

Not sure how much worse making wholesale changes could make things to be honest!

But what about the defence Larry??!!!!

We had a pretty good defence under McPhillips last season. With Turton, Heneghan, Tilt and Bola in it.

I think he has tried to make us more attacking and lost the plot in all departments. Ironically if we tightened up again and did nothing attack wise we would probably win more but the fans want Macca and Hollloway style attack focused football. I don’t think Grayson can really win unless he delivers on defensive tightness and progressive attacking football.

He should have brought Holloway in as his number two.

Thorniley looks rusty and Heneghan has stepped down a gear. 😖 Our defence is worrying. Maybe get Ward in there and hope he's not rusty too?

The goals will come up front with our new players, but we have to stop giving away simple goals. Maybe, they've been working on it in training -- you never know.

I've got the crystal ball out and had a look and here's Larry's team for tomorrow.
I'm relying on his word that Kaikai (especially) Husband and Edwards are unlikely to be fit.
Maxwell
Howe Moore Heneghan Bola.
Spearing Ronan Virtue Dewsbury-Hall
Gnanduillet Madine
My ball was a bit smeared though so I'm not confident. 🙂

Your team is too sensible, Insider, verging on adventurous. There's no way Larry will choose that.

I suspect one or more of his regulars -- Turton, Feeney, and Nuttall -- will start.
