Interested to see had the vaccine and details. This is just me being nosey.
I'll start with my details.

I had it at Winter Gardens, Monday 15th Feb, age 56, type 1 diabetic (40 years) Astra Zenica dose, booked it myself through NHS link. Date for 2nd dose 3rd May.
Felt very tired by tea time on Monday, woke with a headache early Tuesday morning and the rest of the day was very tired. Slept well Tuesday night and back to normal around lunch time Wednesday.

Anyone else wish to share?

Had mine today, Oxford Astra Zeneca. I’m 49. four pints in and feel great.

Got offered one for tomorrow, refused it because its not my age group yet and it will be horrendous weather. Winter gardens, oxford dose.

I’m 62, had AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday. About 2 hours later started with a temperature and feeling a little unwell. All day Tuesday had a headache, lethargic , generally felt unwell like when you start with flu. Painful in arm where I had the injection. Took paracetamol and spent most of the day in bed. Started to feel better Tuesday evening and woke up Wednesday feeling 100%. A rather strange 24 hours.

Had mine a month ago pfizer @bvh age 59 ,no after effects just waiting date for second dose, had it through work with vunrable adults (council)

I brought up the subject of guilt with the nurse that vaccinated me today. She was very insistent that it was not necessary due to the drive to get as many vaccinations done per day and that theres tons put aside for people outside The age group quota.

I
I took the mother and father in law to Fylde FC a few weeks ago for their jabs and they were offering the vaccine to all the staff at Fylde even though their age was around early 20s.

Hubby had his last Sunday just had a sore arm where they injected other than that he’s been fine. I’m still waiting to hear about mine

Had mine 10th Feb, Oxford AstraZeneca, dull arm ache for a couple of days, no other side effects thankfully. A youthful 68.😉

Astra Zeneca for me on 15/02 at Thornton Little Theatre. Aged 58 with a touch of diabetes. Felt dodgy for 48 hours with flu like symptoms but soon passed. Easy process.

Had my AZ jab on 4th Feb had a sore arm and felt a bit nauseous the day after but l put that down to the nice bottle of Merlot l drank!

Me and the Mrs (70yo) had ours on 10/2 at the Black Country Museum. Astra Zeneca with no ill effects for me but the Mrs felt unwell the day after. Second one on the 5/5.

I’m 78 and had mine at Thornton on 21st January, no date given for second jab. Didn’t feel a thing and no effects at all, in fact I had to ask if she’d actually done it. Still not sure.

I had 2 doses of the Novavax jab back in the Nov/Dec although I only found it was the real deal 3 weeks ago. I didn't have any side affects. Mrs Insider had the AZ jab 3 weeks ago with no side affects either.

I'm 65 had mine on tue 4pm Astra Zenica at edge hill uni I live me ormskirk verry impressed with organisation of it a couple of hours later was verry tired in bed asleep by 9pm following day had headache all day another good nights sleep and been ok since next jab on 6th May. Good luck everyone

Identical to Tetley. 59, council worker with vulnerable adults. About a month ago at WG. Absolutely no side effects. Like materates in that I never felt a thing & quizzed if it had actually been done.

Wife (48, with underlying issues) had it a couple of weeks ago at Winter Gardens.
Felt ok during the rest of the day, however had splitting headache and nausea throughout the night.
Started to ease around lunchtime the next day and has been fine since.

Tip - If you have it done at Winter Gardens, may be worth booking your appointment in the morning, as Ive heard waiting times are long later in the day

Both me and the wife done yesterday afternoon at the winter gardens ages 63/62 no underlying health issues both feel fine today had the AZ vaccine.
It was busy but we didn’t have to queue, free parking as well in car park opposite, very well organised. 👍

Had the AZ jab on the 8th apart from a sore arm for a couple of hours no other effects.
Whereas Mrs Wizzerboy felt like she'd been dragged through a hedge backwards and was bad for a couple of days!

Had mine AZ three weeks ago, i'm 71 and felt a bit off for 48 hours but well worth it!! Most impressed by the NHS staff involved. Ordering early doses and taking a risk extending second jab to 12 weeks a masterstroke as acknowledged by WHO. Give Matt Hancock and Government credit when credit is due.

AZ on the Wirral. Straight in and out within 5 minutes. Not even told to sit and relax after jab .
No after affects apart from a mildly stiff arm overnight.

I'm 59, so presumably in the 8th group (50 to 59). Mrs Dave is 55, so we'll probably be at similar times.
No underlying health conditions. Daughter (24) had az and felt rough for 24 hours (mental health worker)
I see some younger posters have had or been offered the jab without an underlying condition. Is is a post code lottery sort of thing? It doesn't bother me, I just wondered why?
My brother in law works at the council but hasn't had his jab yet.

Dave although we’re a little older than you we too are still in the age group that is not being done yet (60-64 year olds)
The website we booked through although did mention you had to have an underlying Heath issue didn’t back that statement up once you got there and me and the wife were done without any issues.
I did notice a good few younger people were all being done but obviously didn’t know there medical backgrounds but I’d be surprised if they all had medical conditions.
We would have probably been done in the next couple of weeks anyway but hey why wait when others aren’t I personally know people in there 40’s/50’s without any health conditions that have been done.

I’m 66, got a call Monday morning and asked if I could make it for 11am but couldn’t so they offered me 3 other slots and I settled for 6.30pm
Local Doctors surgery, very well organised, had the Pfizer jab within 5 minutes of entering and the keep you there for 15 minutes then let you go home.
Only side affect was a stiff arm they day after but all fine now.
My wife (60) say for her on Thursday, all sorted with a quick phone call.
Same with the stiff arm but bot of us fine now.
Informed that we will get called for the second jab between 3 and 12 weeks. 👍

I'd go for 10 pints because you'll fee like you've had 10 in the morning
Feeling like I had had 10 pints and a few jaegerbombs at the moment but that’s considerably better than I felt at 5am when I thought I had been hit by a bus. Looking forward to bedtime tonight and feeling better tomorrow 👍🏼

Yes I felt pretty shite at 3.30 this morning, on the up now though. Looking forward to a few cold ones with the game.

Almost the identical side-affects for me. Lasted about 36 hours.

Had the AZ jab this morning, very well organised at South Shore health centre.

I guess time will tell if I get any side effects.

The younger ones were also likely to be care workers.

40s, Jan 14th, Pfizer at BVH, offered as NHS staff. Bit tired the next day but that's not abnormal during this lockdown for me.

It does seem that the Pfizer jab has much fewer side effects than AZ and this thread backs that up to some extent.

From limited accounts, it appears the AZ one affects younger people worse than older ones??

I`m 75 had my first Pfizer jab on Jan 29. Apart from feeling a prick but nothing much when the needle went in,which having had many medical jabs is purely down to the competence of the jabber, no other side affects at all.Next one booked at the same time as they booked the first for April 23. So my 3 weeks since jab one is now up.So will Boris be announcing party time for us jabbed coffin dodgers on Monday?

Seems to, no one knows why yet but the assumption is the response is a little stronger, which is actually a good thing.

I had bloods done this week as part of a PHE study so the antibody result will be interesting.
Keep us posted on that if you can please 👍

Had mine on Thursday in Cambridge, brilliantly organised, had the Pfizer, which I was pleased about. 61, no underlying health problems and already had Covid so very happy to get it so early. No side effects, just a bit sore where they jabbed me in the muscle.

65 next week, had AZ at Catholic Club St Anne’s yesterday. Well organised, sore arm still and lethargic but maybe that’s just from watching the game. Next jab booked in also.
