Some of our players aren't good enough.

The league table doesn't lie.

We laud a lot of our players but frankly, and honestly I just don't think some of our players are good enough for the money they are being paid and for the length of contract they have.

Recently we have lost the likes of Carey, Apter and Anderson, amongst others who have let their contracts run down and left on frees.

Mark my words, Casey will be next

The alarming thing is that we've let some excellent talent walk away for nothing.

Recruitment recently has been poor but we've not gone for the cheapest players, quite the opposite. Good players have left.

We've replaced them by what we mostly, collectively thought were better but have turned out to not be.
Yes we've been unlucky with injuries but the depth of talent we thought we had is simply not there.

I don't know what you think but we really are in danger of being relegated.....and if you think we are in with an outside chance of the playoffs you need to give your head a wobble to get it out of the sand.

Absolutely correct. When people on here were talking playoffs my heart wanted to agree. Realistically we were flattering to deceive. I take zero pleasure saying such.

Too much for the level they are playing to
Based on? If you come spouting facts at least have some facts to spout . We LL be ok this season , Evatt with his own players n style will get it sorted . I think you need to give that head of yours a wobble .

Who lauds our players ?
You've been reading the wrong forum
Shit: BPF, Lyons,Ihiekwe, Coulson, Evans,Morgan, Honeyman, Brown, Bloxham, Banks.
Sometimes shit: Fletcher, Bowler, Ashworth, Casey, Husband.
Juries out : Taylor, Ennis

You've got laugh, cos according to some we don't have one decent player but we should be competing against Ipswich away.

I've said this many times before, but I'll say it one more time. The league table lies constantly. Most, if not every season I've seen Blackpool promoted, They've been in the bottom half of the table after a decent number of games.

The league table doesnt lie at the END of the season. Until then, it lies like Donald Trump.

Disagree players are good enough for LG 1 we need to get a foot in all over the pitch. That's nothing to do with football skill just a bit of backbone required. Pride in your own performance, It may be called resilience now but to me it's bill Bentley, John deary, roadway, Keith s, Barry f not giving in and tackling
.

Just surprised the CJ fan club haven't been on lauding what on the face of it was a better effort in their half.

You missed CJ Hopeless from your poor list from yesterday, with 4 attempted crosses, and yet another big chance was missed.

Cross 1. 10 yards in front of our forwards and almost out for a throw-in on the other side of the pitch.

Cross 2. Miss-hit, and so not enough pace on it.

Cross 3. Passed to the first defender.

Cross 4. Not memorable in any way, for me to recall it at this time.

Managed a couple of decent blocks in defense but his usual pretending track back.

One shot of him watching the action in our box from the edge of the area, and it was like someone prodded him into action eventually, embarrassing!

There is a reason he has only 4 goal involvements in the opposition net.

10 points off the play offs with 19 games to go.

When we had a relatively fit squad over ten games we were the second best team in the division.

Transfer window open to get in recruits.

What a bunch of pessimistic, moaning lillylivered lot post on here at times.
21 games left for us.

I agree with you. Just look at where Peterborough are now, 4 points off 5th/6th. This is a really poor league and a good run of form can easily put us back in contention.

Bed wetting session after a defeat as usual.

Four wins on bounce promotion, three defeats relegated.

A squad of 20 when your allowed 23 is killing us especially now with all these injuries.
Our only fit LWB having to play CH along with our spare RWB,two forwards absolutely knackered playing in a formation that doesn't use wingers and we've five of them out of the 20.

The squad isn't set out to play 3 at the back as we're having to play players out of position and will take a couple of transfer windows for EVO to sort it out.

Horseshit. You’ve said names of players who let their contracts run down and included Apter !!!!!
Just the £3m for him

Nobody will be going after Casey at the moment. Our defence is our weakest area and the reason we are where we are. And Casey hasn’t been great at all this season, none of them have.

Out of those three players you mentioned - Apter we got good money for and, like we all said, is struggling to step up to championship football. Not a loss to us in my opinion. Anderson left so long ago that it’s barely worth thinking about, but he was the best out of all of them, by a country mile as well. And Carey - he showed up for 4 months out of his entire 3-4 years with us and got a move out of it. He was never a loss to us because we all wanted him gone a year earlier anyway. But the fact he only did well for such a short spell suggests he never cared for us that much.

I’m not sure where your alarmism is coming from but it’s very odd timing - I can only assume you were watching Charlton v Chelsea and thinking “what if…”.

CJ didn’t even make it into a category! He probably comes under scapegoat.

I imagine there's a handful of players evatt doesn't rate and wouldn't want to play but injuries are hampering us. Until we get some new faces in we are limited to the same 11 really

IMO Casey and Morgan will leave for pastures new in the summer. I'm not saying either are Championship standard, but nevertheless I think they'll leave. It wouldn't surprise me if Honeyman moves on, for a fee.

Bloxham is never going to fit Evatt's system or play as a 10. A forward line of Fletcher, Ennis, and Taylor complemented by a Madine-type, with a combative destroyer and ball-carrying midfielder are amongst the must haves we need. Coulson, Lyons, Ashworth are not adequate wing backs, whilst Imray will also need replacing as will BPF and Rav.

Either in this window or the next, I am guessing that CJ, Evans, and Bondo will also move on.

Notwithstanding the long contract I'd be surprised if Ihiekwe is still at the club at the start of next season. There are few certainties in football, especially at our level but the amount of recruitment to be done in the summer is sizeable. All very rinse and repeat, but we are nowhere near competitive enough for League One, let alone with a view of surviving in the Championship.

Consider who (better) we have had and lost during the recent past: Anderson, Bowler mk1, Madine, Yates, Wintle, Offiah, Sterling, Poveda, Rogers, Dougall, Stewart, Grimshaw, Nelson, Keogh, Ekpiteta, and so on. We are way off where we want to be.

There’s a few lower league teams that would take the ones Evo wants to offload and I’m sure he will of already sorted deals for who he wants to bring in , I think Santos will be his first signing
Can they afford these players, think about it,if they are on 3-5 k a weeke .which clubs will be able to match it,think the biggest problem is getting rid of some, rather than bringing players in.

Evans and CJ would require us to pay teams to take them on loan, never mind getting shut.

The scouting reports on them must read like a soccer horror story☠️🐩💩⚽

Yes agree with you some are on silly money and don’t have any pride in the shirt just here for a last pay day , Simon would be best cutting his losses and paying them off

I can’t believe the amount of time and effort some posters spend on expressing their total negativity towards our Team. We are a League 1 Team, who when everyone is fit can produce a result against anyone. We have a good Manager and an Owner who’s trying to back us. A bit of realism is needed and a good dose of positivity. Objective criticism is one thing constant moaning is quite another.

We brought Rapter back from his loan at the Trannies in the January to get him to sign an extension, which he did and let them have him back.
Any thoughts on Horseshit now?

Or, to use a word use more realistically used by those you appear so eager to denigrate: realistic.

Eye of the beholder and all that....

Did we not perform as the second best team in Lg1 over the ten games prior to Husbands sending off?

Is it so unrealistic to believe that with Husband returning after the next game and Ennis returning, that the same cannot be repeated?

This may not be the same as 20/21 when I battled this forum all season to attain any positive viewpoints, however I'll keep on my path of optimism whilst the option of achieving still exists.

Do you think SS is going to buy a new squad this transfer window?
Like I said, some of our players just aren't good enough and I base that on the FACT we keep losing games of football.
Football is quite simple really, if your players are better than the opposition then you win more than you lose.
If they are not good enough you lose more than you win. Another FACT
Our league position, currently 2 points above the relegation places is a FACT that you or anyone else can argue against.
The argument that injuries are the problem doesn't work either because the FACT is, the replacement players, like I said, just aren't good enough.
Bruce, and he said it himself, went with a smaller squad of what he believed were better quality players. The FACT is, however, whoever identified and signed them and whoever decided that some of the players who were already here were also of high quality, have made some bad calls.

There you go. A few facts for you to chew over.

Most people know the squad is lacking in depth of quality.

Is that your point of view or the forums? I am amazed you have said jury is out on Ennis and to describe BPF, Morgan, Honeyman, Bloxham and Banks as shit shows your expectations are clearly well above our league status! Those players in a decent side would not be shit!

I think my final comment sums it up " according to some we don't have one decent player, but we should be competing against Ipswich away "
