Given it a week on laptop and mobile:
Fed up of reading the same posts about 27 times on every thread. That reply thingy really does my head in. Just constant scrolling and you miss the response. Plenty of improvements but prefer the basics of the old site.

I like it becuase you can direct your reply directly at the person you want to reply to, it avoids a lot of confusion

Don’t get what is not to like - as a user experience it is so much better in every way and everyone I’ve spoken to feels the same. Suggest sticking with it and forgetting how the old forum worked.

People need to scroll to bottom box to reply then it doesn’t copy the previous post but people will just hit reply in the last post which as you say duplicates it before posting their actual response.
Could easily be solved by FOL with a little amendment

I like the fact that if the whole reply is quoted it puts it in a preview box within the message so it takes up very little space when scrolling through the replies. A lot of thought has gone into it.

If the original post comes up it's easy to just delete it and I agree it shouldn't be the default position but can be useful if you are replying to a specific post higher up the thread.

The people who are running it didn't take long to rid the tangerine writing and put into black is one example.

We had one of the worst football forums going. As for administration of the site, it'll be easier for the mods and admins too.
