...and IF you want a ticket to Sound on the Ground, I've put a special link so you can still buy Early Bird Tickets! It would mean a great deal to the club to sell as many tickets as possible, this is because all the surplus monies will be ploughed back into the club (I don't know if you know, it's a not-for-profit organisation with volunteers running it!)

20,000 concert goers are expected to be heading to Blackpool Cricket Club’s Stanley Park ground on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th August. Billed as ‘Sound On The Ground’, the 2 day music extravaganza opens with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a 'Last Night Of The Proms' style concert. They will be performing iconic soundtracks and memorable music from the movies. In a first for Blackpool, the world-famous orchestra will wow the concert audience within the fantastic ‘Rose Bowl Ground’ of the club.

Following the sophistication of Saturday’s concert - the iconic sound of the 80’s and 90’s Manchester music scene is replicated by FAC 51 The Hacienda Classiçal. This set will feature Inner City, Robin S, Crystal Waters, Black Box and more artists of the day. World renowned D.J.’s such as Graeme Park will add to an authentic mix of great hits from those classic Madchester days.

Actually would love to go to this...well the RPO one...not in the least interested in the Hacienda( too old😉)
Whilst ST has a point but we( ok not me) are a tourist town and said places need to make a living and this is the kind of event that might encourage people to come and stop over.

Flipping Heck...or something similar..blimey maybe you should ask if “that room” in the BFC Hotel is available seeing as we don’t have a home game that day...oh I just noticed the one( well I think so) you want to go to is on the Sunday😳..even better chance,though it is a bank holiday weekend.

If those prices are true( and no I am not doubting you) they are ridiculous.

I am catching up with someone who I probably saw last in 1977!! and earlier my brother( that last one to one catch up was I think May 2019😳) but in St.Annes!,the other is in the ground.
 
Seems prices all over the shop have caused people to stay away in their droves from Blackpool and the Fylde

Wonderhall @ Lytham Hall is charging £10 a ticket for UB40 tonight (which is shocking......as they would have to give me £10 to watch them) the other nights are less than 50% of the expected visitors and 'free' tickets are being flung around Lytham like confetti at a wedding.

And considering Callabro's manager is running Wonderhall, leave's me to suspect that the fruity foursome who are playing at Blackpool cricket club on Saturday will be turning up at Wonderhall on Sunday to kill a few musical theatre songs with Russell Watson.
