Quite a blow, Hope it’s proved ok, not least because it’s the one I’ve had, but if it’s not, that would create chaos here.
Hoping to have it ready by the Autumn... but how many other mutations will there be around the world by then? We are trying to hit a moving target but it's looking like we can't keep up with the speed of its changes. They maintain that they can modify it specifically for the SA mutation. So are they doing that now I wonder ?

I give in, Rusty, what’s the positive in this news?I wondered how long it would take you to come along and start spewing your negativity
Where did I say it was positive news? It was a comment on BHOK's negativity, which stands out no matter what the thread.I give in, Rusty, what’s the positive in this news?

As 20s said about the first one, if it's already here we might as well give up. It's not the Government's fault. They've shut the borders and instigated a world beating track and trace system....oh.147 cases of SA variant already detected in the UK - it's already here
This research is incomplete really, it doesn't tell us much about the level of protection the OU jab has against the SA variant (if any), although it looks like it provides something. We need more information.
Plus it gives you very soft skin...There is some good news.
South Africa is now going to use the Johnson & Johnson vaccine which is made in Port Elizabeth and apparently gives better protection.
The scientists are working on the variants round the clock.
