To be fair on Hayden, we have to decide what his position is, then play him consistently in it so he can get used to his job.
I like him, always have while with us. Last season he was brought on a lot as attacking left side, when CJ or later Silvera needed replacing. Very effective going forward, energetic, decent dribbling and crosses, and actually has a hell of a shot on him too.
As Hubby began to feature less towards the end, he was getting starts at LB. He can make that his own this year. I get that some think he's less effective defensively, but he's by no means incapable of being our LB for the season. But we have to commit to it and give him the chance.
Lots of talk of the players still to come, and a there's a good consensus left attack will be one. The right arrival will mean Hayden doesn't need to be there and can concentrate on a) improving as LB and b) forming a pairing with a new un that will rip the left side attack apart.
